Chris McDaniel

Mississippi in the 21st Century

If you have been following the election cycle this year, you may have heard about the duel going on down here in Mississippi. We have Senator Thad Cochran who was first elected to the Senate back when Nixon was still president in 1972. He is being challenged by a state Senator, Chris McDaniel.

Bieber, Obama, Gutfeld and and an Imaginary War That All The Politicians are Fighting

This week in “stupid” Number One: Sometimes people are so quick to make a judgment that they fail to understand what is going on. An anonymous author (aren’t the most absurd always anonymous?) posted an article on Freak Out Nation titled “Fox’s Greg Gutfeld somehow links President Obama to Justin Bieber’s arrest . ”

Foreign policy expert Michael Scheuer has written a column on his website titled “The desperate U.S.-UK relationship: Barack Obama, David Cameron, and the NSA/GCHQ issue.” Now several people are claiming that Scheuer’s article endorsed the assassination of President Obama. Where?

This Week in the World of News, Dec. 29, 2013

Tony Perkins (Family Research Council) appeared on Fox news just after A&E announced they would reinstate Phil Robertson and Duck Dynasty would go on. Perkins applauded A&E’s decision. The website “Crooks and Liars” immediately published an article which labeled Perkins a “homophobe” and suggested that we will now see “the homophobes come out of the woodwork to celebrate.” Get used to it. Jesse Jackson

The Return of Jesse Jackson

I suspect the reason GLAAD would join forces with Jackson and his Rainbow PUSH Coalition is so GLAAD could learn the ways Jackson used to extort businesses for many many years. Of course, the business always seemed to conveniently “donate” a large sum of money to Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition.

This Week in the World of News

Some interesting things happened this week that you might not have heard about. A Leftwing propaganda outlet pronounced victory over Fox News…but not enough people knew about this Leftwing organization for it to matter. Also, intolerant bigots condemned Ducky Dynasty’s Phil Robertson for being an intolerant bigot (i.e. being a Christian). President Obama’s poll numbers show Americans are waking up, and the “mainstream” media perpetrated several more attempts to deceive the American people (but what else is new?).

As the First Amendment Pendulum Swings

As the First Amendment Pendulum Swings

This last week in a 5-4 ruling, New York State’s Court of Appeals voted to knock down an earlier decision which would have required Fox News reporter, Jana Winter, to appear in front of Arapahoe County District Court in Colorado to disclose the source who gave her information about a notebook that the Aurora Theater gunman, James Holmes, gave to his psychiatrist just prior to the shooting. Winter said that she would go to jail before revealing such information to a judge.

How Do You Deal With Vitriol?

How Do You Deal With Vitriol?

We might give the most rational, well-constructed, evidence-filled line of reasoning. We might show from the evidence, from the premises, from the arguments, from the logic, and, maybe even from Scripture (if necessary) what the truth is. And, having constructed this awesome edifice of calculation, we would assume that the proper response will be — could only be — submission to the truth. Wrong.

The Ease of a Pre-sanctioned Reality

The Ease of a Pre-sanctioned Reality

The laws have already turned against religious freedom in America, although mostly against Christianity and, interestingly, least against Islam. Accepting a pre-sanctioned reality means I don’t have to waste my time thinking about or through any subject. I just accept the status quo.
