The Last Man Standing

As I was driving down the highway the other day, I noticed the car in front of me — a Toyota Prius — one of those electric hybrid cars that environmentalists love to be seen in, as it shows how concerned they are about saving the planet.

What first caught my attention was that this vehicle was literally PLASTERED with bumper stickers, each one touting another liberal slogan, including “Coexist.”  There were two “Obamas,” one “Bernie.”  One read, “No God, No Hate.”  One featured a picture of the Earth and read, “Love your Mother.”  “One stated: “Pro-Women, Pro-Choice.” There was also, of course, a rainbow-colored one with an “equal” sign that read, “Love Wins.”  And one that I had to wait to read until we stopped at the next intersection.  This one said, “Republican Party: where Racists, Homophobes and Hate finds a home.”  There was one sticker that simply said, “Free Thinking Humanist.”  And several others that were too filthy and vulgar to repeat.  Clearly, this driver was fully indoctrinated into the liberal, secular humanist mindset…. and clearly much more highly educated, rational and intelligent than the rest of us.  In the presence of such intellect and reason, I felt like a Neanderthal.

But imagine my surprise, then, when the driver casually tossed her cigarette butt out the window.  It seemed a little hypocritical to me.  If this person cares so much about liberal causes and saving the Earth, why, then, would she carelessly toss litter out on the roadway?

It got me to thinking about a whole lot of hypocrisy that surrounds the world of the “Progressives” on the left.  There are plenty of examples.  Liberals love to loudly and proudly proclaim their tolerance, love, superior morals, compassion and reason, but yet in reality, they possess NONE of those qualities.  Hypocrites!   Truly, the one word that best describes them.

I would venture to say that most of these people base their worldview on the trends of pop culture, which is manipulated and molded by Hollywood celebrities and entertainers.  And after doing a little research, that makes perfect sense.   Because… are you aware of the origin of the word “Hypocrite?”  Merriam-Webster’s dictionary tells us: “The word ‘hypocrite’ ultimately came into English from the Greek word ‘hypokrites,’ which means “an actor” or “a stage player.”  Yes, in ancient Greece, those who performed on stage as actors were known as “hypocrites.”  It was not a derogatory term;  that LITERALLY is what the word “hypocrite” means:  “an actor.”  How interesting that today, the worst hypocrisy we see is that of Hollywood actors, performers, entertainers and celebrities.

A case in point:  Remember, shortly before the November election when a video surfaced showing Donald Trump speaking crudely about women, using “locker room language” to describe their private parts?  Women were outraged.  What a PIG this man was.  How horribly OFFENSIVE!

But immediately, the liberals began displaying their insane hypocrisy.  Truly, you couldn’t make this stuff up.   Miley Cyrus, known to, and adored by kids as the sweet, innocent  “Hannah Montana” (once upon a time), performed a concert in which she removed her underwear and allowed the crowd to grope her sexually — all the while screaming about how sexist and disgusting Donald Trump was.  Meanwhile, the aging pop star Madonna announced that she would provide free sex acts for anyone who voted against Trump.  Why?  Because Trump treated women like “sex objects!”

Then on the Saturday after Trump’s inauguration, thousands of LIBERAL women marched on Washington DC in protest…. many dressed in vagina costumes, and most wearing knitted hats that were designed to look like female genitalia.  Many carried vulgar signs, using the very same word Trump used years ago in the video that was considered so offensive.  And while this Womens’ March was ostensibly organized to push back against the degrading language of Donald Trump, not ALL women were welcome.  If you were a pro-life woman or a CHRISTIAN woman, you were not allowed.

At that same event, Madonna gave a keynote address filled with filthy language and said she “thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House.”  Later she explained: “I am not a violent person, I do not promote violence…my speech began with ‘I want to start a revolution of love.’”  REALLY?  And your “Revolution of Love” begins with an extended hate-filled rant, full of filthy, foul mouthed language that would make even the toughest street thug blush, and then declaring you want to blow up the White House?  That sounds a LITTLE BIT TO ME like hypocrisy.

Writer John Hawkins of TrueNews.org wrote a piece some time ago called “Twenty Hypocrisies of Liberalism.”  I won’t go through all twenty here, but let me list just a few of his observations.  He said, “Liberals believe that: It’s impossible to come to any sort of reasonable compromise with conservatives on anything, but that we can fix our problems with nations like Iran and North Korea by just sitting down and talking things out.

“Liberals believe they’re the most compassionate people in society.  Yet, in study after study, you find that conservatives give more of their money to charity than liberals.

“Liberals believe that we’ve all got to dramatically reduce our ‘carbon footprint’ to save the planet.  Yet (they) live in big mansions and fly around in private jets while still maintaining their credibility with their fellow environmentalists.

“Liberals believe we definitely need to have higher tax rates in this country.  Yet many of Obama’s (best friends), including his Secretary of the Treasury, (and Al Sharpton, I might add) don’t pay their taxes at all — and liberals are okay with that.

“Liberals believe that college campuses are supposed to be places of learning and intellectual openness, but they approve of conservative speakers being attacked and shouted down.

Just one more from John Hawkins here:  “Liberals believe it’s morally abhorrent to put a serial killer to death, but that a mother killing her baby through abortion is merely a ‘choice.’”

Ok.  And what about their beloved Democratic Party — you know, the ones that wanted to write God out of their party platform entirely.  They may as well have, as wicked as it is.  While liberals CLAIM to be the party that protects and defends black Americans, they forget that it was the Democrats who fought to keep slavery in this country… and continue to work to keep blacks enslaved in the inner cities today, by keeping them totally dependent on their many government entitlement programs.

Every DAY there are more examples of the hypocrisy of the Left.  Look at Berkley.  Freedom of Speech?  Not for those who oppose the liberal mindset.  They hate peaceful Christians with a violent passion, yet defend Muslims and welcome the Islamic invasion.   And don’t you DARE speak the name of Jesus in a public school (for that matter, in ANY public place anymore, unless you’re using His name as a curse word)… yet they ENCOURAGE the mandating of our public schools to teach students all about Islam, even taking them on field trips to mosques.

I smell the rat of hypocrisy.  Recently, we also learned that if Hollywood actors don’t toe the liberal line, and obediently push the perverted agendas of sodomy, transgenderism, socialism, and other liberal causes, they will pay dearly for their dissent.  Despite some of the highest ratings for any television program on the air today, ABC recently cancelled Tim Allen’s sitcom, “Last Man Standing,” because Allen is a conservative and a Christian, and his character on the program promotes patriotism, common sense and conservative Christian values.  Can’t have THAT!  So desperate is the ABC network to indoctrinate viewers, they were willing to give up their highest-rated program in order to silence those opposing viewpoints.

I should also mention that “Bill Nye the Science Guy’s” new television program — targeted to adults — which claims to promote Science and Reason, recently featured a segment on the wonderful virtues of sodomy and all forms of sexual depravity.  Bill Nye commented, “that’s exactly the right message!” — after a musical performance on the program promoted every vile sexual abomination one could think of.  And this is presented to viewers as “Science” and “Reason.”  It seems Mr. Nye doesn’t understand much about science at all — including the physical, mental and spiritual health costs of sexual perversion.  But why would that surprise us?  Bill Nye is an actor — a hypocrite — and that is the new pop agenda the hypocrites are indoctrinating our nation with.  It makes me wonder how soon God will be apologizing to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Those of us with eyes to see understand what’s happening here.  We see the deception, the delusion, the purposeful indoctrination as our culture continues to shift to the extreme left.  But the question is, why can’t we seem to stop, or even slow the momentum  of this so-called “Progressivism?”

Jesus spoke a great deal about hypocrites, and if we study what He was was talking about, and WHO He was talking TO, we will have our answer.  In EVERY single instance where He called people “hypocrites,” He was judging and condemning the religious leaders of the day.  Matthew 6:5, “And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites.  For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men.  Luke 20:  “Beware of the Scribes, who like to walk around in long robes and love greetings in the marketplaces and the best seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at feasts, who devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers.  They will receive the greater condemnation.”

Matthew 23, “Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!  For you shut the kingdom of heaven in peoples’ faces.  For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in… Woe to you Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!  For you travel across sea and land to make a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice the child of hell you are!   …Woe to you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!  For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.  So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within, you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”

Are you catching the point I’m trying to make?  There is nothing new under the sun.  Our country and our world is falling to the devil, and as Christians, we decry the hypocrisy of those on the “left,” who work endlessly and tirelessly to change evil to good and good to evil.  But what do WE do?   We continue to follow our religious leaders who love the accolades of man, who love to look and act like righteous men of God, but who refuse to lead their sheep, who refuse to rightly divide the Word of Truth, who refuse to speak TRUTH from the pulpits, for fear of saying something politically incorrect or unpopular.  As a result, I dare say the vast majority of their followers have become twice the children of hell that they themselves are.  Sorry if that sounds “harsh.”

Once again, God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  And those charged with imparting Godly wisdom and knowledge have refused to do their jobs.  Pastors, yes, I am talking to you AGAIN;  you refuse to shepherd your people.  Ezekiel 34:  “…they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and when they were scattered, they became food for all the wild animals.  My sheep wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill.  They were scattered over the whole earth, and no one searched or looked for them.”

Jeremiah 23:1, “‘Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!’ saith the LORD.”  I don’t mean to indict ALL pastors, for certainly there ARE some courageous ones out there.  I know some and love them.  But friends, EVERY DAY I receive calls and emails from people searching for SOMEONE to lead them, to shepherd them, to teach them and disciple them in God’s Holy Word.  They hunger and thirst for the truth, but their pastors refuse to speak it.  The stronger ones study on their own and feed themselves.  But the weak are lost, some for eternity…. led astray and deceived by the hypocrites on the left, exchanging evil for good and good for evil…. while the hypocrites on the right prefer to tickle their ears with vain, sweet-sounding sermons.   Not knowing any better, never having been told the truth, many of the sheep are scattered, and lost.

There is a REASON Jesus called out the religious leaders of His day, and a REASON the risen and ruling Christ calls out and condemns the CHURCHES in the book of Revelation.  If you’re a pastor who has been fearful of speaking what you KNOW is essential, what you KNOW is the truth about the demonic liberal agenda, I pray you will examine your heart and begin to understand you will be held doubly accountable for failing to properly lead.  If you still refuse, my friend, you are a hypocrite.  There’s no other way to say it.  It’s time you come out of hiding, do what you know is right, whatever the cost — even if YOU are the Last Man Standing.
