The Good
If you’re like me, it probably really chaps you when you hear about lawbreakers and enablers of lawbreakers who do snotty things like take off work (without clearing it with their boss first) to participate in Leftist events such as Day Without [Illegal] Aliens Immigrants. Doesn’t that kind of arrogance, impudence and entitlement-mentality just rub you in all the wrong ways?
Well, it sounds like there are finally some bosses who aren’t going to coddle this kind of self-centered snowflake behavior anymore.
From Fox News:
Dozens of workers said they lost their jobs after taking part in Thursday’s protest. The boycott was aimed squarely at President Trump’s efforts to step up deportations, build a wall at the Mexican border and close the nation’s doors to many travelers. It was unclear how many participated.
Twelve Latino employees from the I Don’t Care Bar and Grill in Tulsa, Okla. told Fox 23 News they were fired over text message because they didn’t show up for their shift and failed to let their employers know about their absence. The employees told the station they expected to be reprimanded, but not dismissed.
…
Meanwhile, Carmen Guerrero, an immigration activist told the Philadelphia Inquirer that six people were fired from their jobs at a Bahama Breeze in King of Prussia for taking part in the protest. Guerrero said when the workers heard of the protest, they decided to join in and when they showed up Friday for work they allegedly were told they couldn’t enter the building.
…
According to News Channel 5, 18 workers from Bradley Coatings Inc. were let go. The workers told the station they told their employer they would be joining in the nationwide protest on Wednesday and when they returned to work Thursday they were informed they had been fired.
“We are the team leaders directly under the supervisors and they informed us last night that we could not go back to work and the boss said we were fired,” one employee told the station.
An attorney for Bradley Coatings said in a statement that the employees were told they would “need to show up for work (on Thursday) or they would be terminated” because of the “time-sensitive” job they were assigned to. The statement contended that the firings had nothing to do with politics.
Encore Boat Builders LLC, based out of Lexington, S.C., had 21 workers who didn’t show up for work Thursday. WLTX-TV reported they were told not to participate in the demonstrations or face termination and when they failed to show up, the company followed through on its threat.
Six staff members at a Bonita Springs, Fla. daycare quit, Rev. Jeremy Walker, who runs the day care, told NBC 2. However, two workers said they were fired for wanting to join the protest, while four others claim they resigned after the others two were fired.
Businesses exist for a purpose, to provide goods/services to customers and to make money for the owner(s). If certain people are more interested in demonstrating their loathing for the rule of law than they are in assisting with the purpose of a given business, then they don’t need to be wasting everyone’s time pretending to market their labor to that business. Businesses have a reason for being, and it isn’t for indulging Leftist causes that celebrate lawmaking and mockery of our nation’s sovereignty. It’s about time those who hold our laws (as well as the priorities of their employers, and their very jobs) in contempt began to understand that.
The Bad
Remember all that tough talk from Donald Trump during the campaign about dealing with the illegal aliens who violated our borders and broke our immigration laws? Well, not all of that turned out to be pure hot air as expected from a guy who hired illegal aliens himself; after all, one of his first acts as president was to move against sanctuary cities (the sanctuary cities he had previously funded) and moved to temporarily halt immigration from countries identified as terrorist hot spots. But now we’re hearing (yes, Trump already started distancing himself from some of his “tough talk” even during the campaign, but this is post-election) that President Trump is going to allow illegal alien children to stay in our country. Nice, huh? Why can’t we just be a nation of law? Is that too much to ask–especially from the guy who campaigned as Mr. Law and Order?
More Bad
While President Trump (the guy who told Bruce Jenner he could use the ladies room in his facilities) deserves kudos for protecting America’s children and ending President Obama’s school restroom transgender nonsense, Betsy DeVos, the lady Trump picked to safeguard the education of our nation’s children as Secretary of Education, apparently didn’t want the restroom mayhem to end. Some of us attempted to warn the public that this “Republican” pick in DeVos was just another homosexual activist (or “useful idiot” at best), but hey, what do I know? You can never anticipate future behavior based on past behavior, right?
Still More Bad
You may recall, vaguely, how “Republicans” have been campaigning on repealing ObamaCare for, oh, the last six years since it was implemented? You’d think they would have had a bill on President Trump’s desk the day of the inauguration, right? Yeah…A growing number of us conservatives are starting to wonder just when that repeal is going to happen…and if it’s really going to move our nation back toward a free market system that is healthy, or whether they’re just going to rearrange the pieces of the socialist puzzle that got us in this mess in the first place. Didn’t Donald Trump have a draft of a plan? After all, he campaigned on repealing ObamaCare (even though he repeatedly praised the socialist health care schemes of other nations), didn’t he?
The Ugly
I know it may be hard for us to believe after Donald Trump’s record of serial adultery, womanizing and grabbing women by the p****, but it seems there are some sexual issues coming to light around Trump’s Secretary of Labor nominee Alexander Acosta.
From Politico:
President Donald Trump’s new nominee for secretary of labor, Alexander Acosta, could face a grilling in the Senate over claims that — while he was the top federal prosecutor in Miami — he cut a sweetheart plea deal in 2008 with a billionaire investor accused of having sex with dozens of underage girls.
And from the Daily Wire:
Trump himself has ties to Epstein, the billionaire Democratic donor and convicted pedophile known for having under-age sex slaves on his private plane and what the media calls “Sex Slave Island.”
…
“I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy,” Trump once said about the convicted sex offender. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”
…
“Mark Epstein, Jeffrey’s brother, testified in 2009 that Trump flew on Jeffrey’s private jet at least once,” reports VICE News. “Meanwhile, message pads [see below] from Epstein’s Palm Beach mansion that were seized by investigators and obtained by VICE News indicate that Trump called Epstein twice in November of 2004.”
Epstein’s private Boeing 727, according to one of his alleged victims, Virginia Roberts, was nicknamed the “Lolita Express.” Roberts recalled “unsavoury” sex orgies on the private plane when she was just 15 years of age with Epstein and his friends.
While anyone can end up surprised by the hidden behavior of a friend, many reports indicate Trump was present for a lot of “questionable” activity on this guy’s part. What’s more, while one would naturally be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to a person of good moral character, given that Trump has told us with his own mouth that he likes young females and likes to grab females by the p****, such a revelation about one of Trump’s nominees shouldn’t be too surprising.
Isn’t it good to know that American Christians elected such a moral and upright president, especially since our nation’s second president told us:
Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people”. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Don’t worry, folks. We’re in good hands.
Have a great weekend!
