AOL News reports 11 states have decided not to roll over for President Barack Obama’s illegal attempt to force the transgender states on America’s education system.

Officials from 11 U.S. states sued the Obama administration on Wednesday, seeking to overturn a directive from the federal government that public schools should allowtransgender students to use the bathroom matching their gender identity…

…Amid a national debate on transgender rights, President Barack Obama’s administration on May 13 told U.S. public schools that transgender students must be allowed to use the bathroom of their choice, upsetting Republicans and raising the likelihood of fights over federal funding and legal authority.

It’s a simple matter of reality and science. Except for a tiny fraction of a percentage of people with birth defects (and even these are usually functionally corrected by surgery in infancy), virtually everyone’s sex is immediately and scientifically known at the moment of birth.  Is it not such a universal phenomenon that we often see the terms “It’s a boy!” or “It’s a girl!” on television, in movies, and in commercials–so universal that when these three words are heard, everyone understands that the three-word combination is associated with a doctor looking between the legs of a newborn baby at the moment of birth and announcing what is apparent to everyone with an IQ above that of an empty box of rocks: the sex of the newborn child.

No mysticism is required to glean the sex of over 99% of newborn children.  No magic is needed. No alchemy or complex chemical formulas are required. No complex calculus, slide rules, or genetic testing are needed (though the science of genetics will confirm what is visually obvious in more than 99% of all cases).  No PhD is needed, nor is advanced training in philosophy, biology, or metaphysics required.

Just look between the legs: if you see a penis, it’s a male; if you see a vagina, it’s a female.

And then, an official documents known as a birth certificate documents this scientific analysis, so that in case any one forgets or becomes confused later on, and a fresh visual inspection still leaves some doubt, you can still refer to the official document to determine the sex of the person in question.

From this point on, it’s a simple matter of accepting scientific reality.

Unfortunately, due to various mental and emotional traumas that can occur in childhood, sometimes (0.3% or less) people can become confused about their sex. When this happens, this is the time when healthy, compassionate people need to step up and affirm scientific reality to the confused person. Humoring someone in their delusion about their sex is no more “compassionate” than is humoring someone who thinks they are Napoleon Bonaparte, or think they are a dog, or a cook who thinks he’s a surgeon, or a 52 year old man who thinks he’s a six year old girl.

Humoring deluded people about their delusion is a grave disservice to the deluded person, as well as a disservice to other healthy members of society. Especially when government attempts to force people to affirm a delusion. Let’s all be grownups and stop it.

These 11 states should be commended.  For too long, America’s leaders and the American people have simply rolled over to tyranny as the Left illegally seeks to remake America in its distorted and perverse image. We should be consistently striking back against usurpations like this, and striking back hard. Evil will never respect good, but evil is actually encouraged when good acquiesces or, at best, stays on the permanent defensive.

But there are 31 Republican governors in the union. Why are there not 31 (or more) states on this lawsuit?

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard

South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard

It was no surprise at all to see that my gutless RINO governor Dennis Daugaard was not joining these other 11 states in fighting back against President Obama’s radical Leftist agenda and unconstitutional tyranny.  Our gutless wonder actually vetoed South Dakota’s attempt to protect students in our schools a couple of months ago.  And predictably, the gutless RINOs who make up an unhealthy percentage of the South Dakota “Republican” supermajority legislature obediently bowed down to their “Supreme Being” and refused to override the veto.

We’re used to Democrats betraying moral values and the people they protect; they’ve been doing it for decades.  But a “Republican” who kowtows to a Leftist agenda and refuses to protect the privacy and security of school children is truly lame indeed.

As long as otherwise good people continue making excuses for and supporting liberal infiltrators in the Republican Party, the U.S. Constitution, the states, and innocent American people will continue to take it on the chin from the Left’s assault on everything good in our society.

Are you ready for a change yet?  It’s too late to get a better governor for the next couple of years (too bad we don’t have a recall law–maybe a bill for a good legislator to introduce next session?), but we can at least get better legislators.  The GOP primary is coming up on June 7. Find out which candidates are good, which ones are not, and vote accordingly.
