SOS: Speaking of Seniors – Another Thank You

Thank_you On Wednesday, August 17, 2016, the first phone call that I got at my office was another “thank you” call. Sometimes clients that I have helped call me. Sometimes, they send me notes. A few have brought me cookies, muffins, or a gift card for coffee and bagels. I appreciate every gesture of thanks.

“I want you to know that I called the hospital and they got the $1260 that we were fighting for,” the client told me. “Thank you. I don’t know how I can repay you.”

“I know a way,” I responded. “Actually, there are two ways you can repay me. First, tell everyone that you know that this insurance agency ‘walks the extra mile’ with our clients whenever any of them have a medical bill problem like you had. Second, from now on, whenever someone tries to tell you that Woodrow Wilcox is a no good S.O.B., you tell them that they are wrong, that you know me, and that I’m a pretty nice guy!”

The client laughed and promised that he would do that.

If I had not helped this client to fix a problem in the Medicare system, he would have been hounded to pay $1260 that he did not owe. And that was only one of the several bills that I helped him to fix.

The help that I gave this client, and every client, was FREE OF CHARGE. The owners, managers, and staff of this insurance agency really do care about our senior citizen clients and our actions show it. Does your insurance agent or agency give this high standard of service to senior citizen clients? If not, why not?
