Republican Senator Doesn’t Trust Republicans

Violence Against Women Act Shreds Rights

On Thursday, the House voted to approve the latest incarnation of the Violence Against Women Act. So, it’s a done deal, and it’s not good. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor threatened conservatives who had opposed the new version of the Violence Against Women Act, and many Republicans bowed down in obedience to their debilitating fear of standing on conservative principles.

Tea Party Ted Cruz Victory Scares Dems…and Some Republicans

This is some good analysis from Glenn Beck here on the victory of Tea Party-supported U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz in Texas Tuesday. There’s a lot of love for Rick Perry in Texas. But even though Perry endorsed Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, it wasn’t enough to overcome the Tea Party power. What’s more, Dewhurst spent four times what Ted Cruz-who has never run for office before-spent. This win by underdog Cruz has sent chills down the spines of many Democrats…and more than a few establishment Republicans. Despite media claims to the contrary, the Tea Party definitely is not dead.
