Maj Gen Vander Hamm to Address JWC ScholarShare

John Witherspoon College in Rapid City, South Dakota is holding their fifth annual ScholarShare banquet entitled “A Dream Coming True” on April 27 at 6:30 pm at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn.

There will be an update on the remarkable fifth year of this new Christian college, as well as a powerful challenge issued by Air Force Major General Scott Vander Hamm.

Vander Hamm was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in Rapid City, South Dakota 2007-2009 as the 28th Bomb Wing Commander, before going on to serve at the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. After that, Vander Hamm served as the commander of the B-2 stealth bomber wing at Whiteman AFB, Missouri.  Currently, Vander Hamm is the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force at the Pentagon.

He has flown and employed both the B-2A and B-1B in combat for Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Odyssey Dawn in Libya.

General Vander Hamm is a command pilot with 4,600 hours in the T-37, T-38, T-43, B-52, B-1 and B-2.

Also on hand at the scholarshare will be featured Senior Airman James Pratt, Air Force Entertainer of the Year!
