Giuliani for President?

“You have every right to protest, you have every right to scream, you have every right to yell. The first time you throw something at a police officer, you get handcuffed arrested and taken away“
I was more than impressed with former New York Mayor, Rudolph Giuliani’s take on the Feurgeson verdict and the mishandled aftermath.
He’s been called ‘America’s Mayor.’ He’s tough on crime; a true man of law and order. He tamed (and literally cleaned-up) NYC, when it was most in need of taming. He prides himself in doing the job he is assigned to do, and he does it very well. Some people are born to take control of a situation and lead, while others are merely pawns and puppets. As a Federal New York Attorney he took on and subdued some pretty bad dudes. He’s got the courage and the cred….. He’s legit!
Giuliani demonstrates a type of calm and composure Chris Christie too often loses. He also exhibits a natural capacity to mobilize and lead that Mitt Romney ultimately lacks.
And he’s not a Bush!!!
Obviously, Gulianni is no social conservative. But I get the impression that he is the type of guy that encourages personal and moral culpability (and will rely on strong and dependable civic leaders and clergymen to set the tone when widespread moral failings rear their ugly head). Most importantly, Gulianni is a highly skilled and commanding presence with the experience to lead a community out of a crisis.
More that anything else, we are a nation void of security and protection. Could Guilanni be the man we need to fill that void?
One thing is certain, he’s not afraid to take out the garbage!
I’d prefer a tea party small government social conservative. But Gulianni is certainly better than the RINO-status-quo!
Not sure I could ultimately ever endorse him. But if he’d move more to the right socially, he’d be worth a second look!
“We see only the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don’t see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do…At the core the struggle is philosophical. There are many, many things that can be done in law enforcement to protect us better. There are many things that can done to create a government that is more responsive and more helpful.” -RWG
