Three Sources Verify Abortion is Pro-Choice

babyBy Mason Chandler

The gruesome videos released on Planned Parenthood show the barbaric practices of this abortion giant.  The fact that forty-six U.S. Senators supported keeping over half a billion dollars in federal aid to an organization that shreds human body parts and then haggles over them like auto parts is sickening.  This abortion battle is not a battle between two political parties, but a battle between just morals and the evils of a secular world.  I want to prove the immorality of federal aid to Planned Parenthood through three sources of evidence: Scientific evidence/ Medical Research, The U.S. Constitution, and sources wisdom: the Holy Bible and the quotes of great people.

It is clear through scientific evidence that human life begins at conception.  Keith L. Moore, a professor in the division of anatomy at Toronto University, stated in his book that “Human life begins at fertilization.”  He goes on to say that the first cell in a human organism “marks the beginning of each of us as a unique individual.”

Landrum B. Shettles, a fertilization expert, declared that “there is one fact no one can deny; Human beings begin at conception.”

Professor Hymie Gordon, of the Mayo Clinic, emphatically proclaimed “By all the criteria of modern molecular biology, life is present from the moment of conception.”

There are many other statements by medical experts that testify that life begins at conception.

It is not just DNA evidence that proves against abortion however.  Women are likely to experience physical or psychological complications following an abortion.  According to afterabortion.org, in Finland, ladies were also 6 times more likely to commit suicide than women who delivered, and women who delivered were less likely to contract breast cancer.  A study released in 2010 and published in Journal of Pregnancy found that 52% of women having an early abortion and 67% of women having a late term abortion struggled with PTSD.  Another study from the University of Manitoba found that women who have abortions are 4 times more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol than women who carry full term.

There is already a law in place defending the unborn, but it’s being ignored:  The U.S. Constitution.  This evidence is clear and simple.  The 14th Amendment says that no person shall be denied the equal protection of the laws.  Also, the Declaration of Independence states that every American has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  According to sba-list.org, Planned Parenthood has destroyed over 6 million American children’s right to this honor, and they have demolished their opening to possess their share of the American Dream.  The government can do nothing except for what the Constitution commands it to do, not anything the Constitution does not forbid.  The 10th amendment says that all powers not delegated to the Federal Government nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or the people.  Since the Constitution does not grant the power, the federal government has no authority to give money to Planned Parenthood.  The Constitution gives Washington no jurisdiction or dominion to fund organizations.

Finally, the Bible and influential people were very clear on the issue that life matters.  Exodus 20:13 commands “Thou shalt not murder”.

The Bible also shows that life begins at conception.  For example, Exodus 21:22 and 23, says that “If two men are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely, yet there is no serious injury, the man shall be fined… if there is a serious injury, you shall take life for life.”  It is clear that to God, life begins at conception.

God also has a relationship with us prior to our physical birth.  Jeremiah 1:5 says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.”

Psalm 139:13-14 states, “You have created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I will praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

God is very clear that life matters to him.  Psalm 127:3 states “Children are a gift from the LORD.”

He even calls our children his own.  Ezekiel 16:20-21 says “You took your sons and daughters whom you bore to Me and sacrificed them… You slaughtered my children.”

Killing unborn humans is clearly murder.  Jeremiah 20:17 says, “He didn’t kill me in the womb, with my mother as my grave.”

Life matters to God, and it needs to matter to us.

Finally, influential people have voiced their thoughts on abortion.

Ronald Reagan, a former U.S. President, said “I’ve noticed that everyone for abortion has already been born.”

Pope Francis said, “The right to life is the first among human rights.”

Phil Robertson stated that “babies have a God-given right to life.”

To close, pro-choice is only half pro-choice.  I can guarantee that aborted babies did not choose to die.  They died without a choice. The truth about abortion has been  uncovered.  We need to defend innocent babies right to life and defund Planned Parenthood.  Then we can go farther and end the horrid practice of abortion all together.  It’s time that America can be a place where everybody can have opportunity, regardless of the color of your skin, your religion, or whether you are delivered or unborn.  Scientific evidence supports that life begins at conception, and it is no less murder killing a fetus then shooting somebody because of the color of their skin.  Thank you for listening, and may God bless you.

The arguments would be strengthened if a clear distinction was made between “from fertilization” arguments and “after implantation” arguments. The quotes from the Bible have no clear reference to before implantation, where the human biology devised by God allows much incipient life to be expelled without implantation.

That distinction might improve the piece slightly from and organization and sequence perspective.

However, there is really no distinction in the human life before or after implantation in the uterine wall. The new human is fully human and genetically complete from the moment of conception; it gains nothing from implantation in the uterine wall. The implantation in the uterine wall is really nothing more than the new human connecting with its life support system-much like an infant connects with the mother’s breast for nourishment after birth.

Implantation sometimes fails to occur, not through God’s design, bur rather through the failures and imperfections in the operation of human bodies that has befallen the human race after we rebelled against our creator in the Garden of Eden. Failure to implant is no more a part of God’s design than is cancer, renal failure, or any other malfunction of the human body. These are all, you might say, MAN’s design, because they are a consequence of humans thinking were we can do better than God’s plan for us.
