In a sort of ghastly simplicity we remove the organ and demand the function. We make men without chests and expect of them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honour and are shocked to find traitors in our midst. We castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful. — C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man by C.S. Lewis

The Welfare Bill Masquerading as a Farm Bill

June 10, 2013   ·   By   ·   1 Comments

Obama_Shred_Constitution_fIt seems we have another $1 trillion chunk of taxpayer-funded socialism coming down the pike, and it’s masquerading as a different piece of socialism: a farm bill.

From Fox News:

The Senate is expected to vote on a massive farm bill Monday evening that could set the course for the country’s food policy for the next decade. If passed, the wide-ranging, five-year agriculture measure will cost taxpayers $955 billion.

That bulk of the money — $760.2 billion — would go toward the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – or commonly known as the food stamp program which helps low-income families buy food. The Senate bill makes a small cut to the food stamp program, while the House version shaves off $17.4 billion.

In addition to the federal government having zero authority to administer and subsidize agriculture in the United States, these statists add insult and injury to insult and injury by dressing up an unconstitutional bill to mask another unconstitutional program.

Do the math: 79.6% of this unconstitutional “farm bill” is paying for an unconstitutional socialist welfare program. It is the job of families, communities, churches and private charities to help those who are truly in need, NOT the federal governement.

Does anyone even care that we have a constitution anymore?

Tea Party Express Whores Itself to RINO Establishment

We've come to a very sad and pathetic place in America and South Dakota, these days. There once was a time, not too long ago, when you could count on certain people and groups to do the right thing and hold the line against what was wrong. Not anymore.

Multiculturalism: Good or Bad for America?

Michael Peroutka

Is multiculturalism a good thing or a bad thing for our American society? You might not realize it, but this is a very important question. This agenda of multiculturalism is based on the notion that we are a more stable, prosperous society because we embrace diversity, toleration and acceptance of anything and everything. But is this true?

Serious Warning to Gun Rights Supporters in Alabama

Gina Miller

I don’t know whether conservatives who support Alabama Statewide Amendment 3 are doing so out of a lack of understanding of the danger to their gun rights that amendment poses, or if they are leftist infiltrators posing as conservatives to mislead people into voting away their God-given right to keep and bear arms. Either way, it’s not good.

Liberal Hypocrisy and the Soft Bigotry of Low Expectations

Bill Maher has it right. He hit the nail on the head in his conversation with Charlie Rose, when he said that Liberals' reticence to criticize Islam is symptomatic of "the soft bigotry of low expectations." In other words, Liberals are willing to give Muslims a pass on behavior that they would otherwise find condemnable because Liberals view Muslims as a persecuted minority.

Ruining RINO Rounds Run

Bloomberg did an interesting article on the only conservative in the South Dakota. U.S. Senate race, conservative independent Gordon Howie. Wouldn't it be cool to have another conservative--like Ted Cruz--in the U.S. Senate who actually wants to promote conservative values, and win?

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
