The Death Rattle of RINOs

The Death Rattle of RINOs

It is theorized that we “shot our load” when Tea Party candidates dominated the 2010 midterm elections. To that I ask a quizzical “really, how so?” Our detractors all point back towards last November as proof positive of Tea Party shortcomings. Well, not so fast bucko. Players emerged from their comfy shadows and in doing so, have realigned the coming 2014 contest.

Rule of Law: Biggest Casualty of the Obama Era

Continuing on from yesterday’s Wallbuilders Live broadcast of Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach’s speech at the Pro-Family Legislators Conference, today we learn about more of the fraudulent claims of this lawless president. Have you heard this bogus claim of the Obama Administration that they are deporting a record number of illegal aliens? Have you ever wondered how the heck they mangle the truth badly enough to make that claim?

VA ‘Republicans’ Vote to Increase Taxes, Expand Medicaid

In a move that likely makes grassroots conservatives and tea party members wonder why to bother voting Republican at all, the Virginia General Assembly has approved a budget with little opposition that implements a 3.5 percent gasoline sales tax per gallon that will rise every year with inflation. To get the votes, enough Senate Democrats needed to vote to pass the measure, too, so Republicans agreed to dramatically expand Medicaid under the Obamacare statute.

Republican SD House Approves Benefits for Illegal Aliens

The “Republican”-controlled South Dakota House today approved HB 1214, a bill which would provide taxpayer funded prenatal medical care for illegal aliens. Obviously, the majority of “Republicans” in the South Dakota Legislature don’t really give a flying rip about dealing with the out-of-control lawlessness going on in our state and country. Rewarding illegal aliens and providing incentives for lawbreaking are precisely the opposite direction we need to be going.

An Identified RINO

Rightwing writer Cal Cal Thomas recently wrote a column describing Dr. Benjamin Carson’s speech at the National Prayer Breakfast as an ambush of President Obama, while attending what he considers to be “an event devoted to drawing people closer to God and bridge partisan and cultural divides without being lectured about his positions.” To that I remark, “since when has Obama been so identified with such spiritual leanings and pursuits?” Should I add that Rev. Wright sermons do not qualify?

Do God-Given Rights Need Government Supervision to be Exercised?

From my mailbox today, the latest in exposure for our “Republican” South Dakota government officials who can’t seem to trust the citizens of their state to exercise their Second Amendment rights without government supervision.

Fighting to Preserve the Last Best Hope of Earth

Why do some conservatives seem to take political divisions so seriously these days? Are they being overzealous? Are they extremists? Or is it that they clearly see what is at stake, and desperately hope to avoid losing what Abraham Lincoln once called “the last best hope of earth”?

Mike Rounds

Former Rounds Supporter Not Impressed

Former South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds is the favorite of all the RINOs and RINO apologists in the 2014 race for Senator Tim Johnson’s (D-SD) U.S. Senate seat. But some of those who supported him in the past probably won’t be doing so in the future.

Does the Republican Party have a future?

The United States, from Day One, was a project about principles and ideals. The Republican Party was founded in 1854 to address one great blot on the nation’s founding legacy: the existence of slavery in a nation founded under the ideal of freedom under God. But, as longshoreman philosopher Eric Hoffer once observed, “Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.”

Ever since coming out of the closet and disclosing his intent to go to war with the tea party in Republican Party primaries in a New York Times exclusive, Karl Rove has come under attack from everyone from Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin to various conservative leaders including this author.
