Disgusted ‘Republican’ Disgusts Real Republicans

Disgusted ‘Republican’ Disgusts Real Republicans

According to an article at KELO, South Dakota RINO Rep. Anne Hajek from Dist. 14 is “disgusted” with the legislation upholding Republican values that she’s seen this session. Apparently she has a major problem with defending Christians and Christian business owners from the kind of attacks on religious freedom we’ve seen in other states, not only against people who try to tell the truth about homosexual behavior but against Christian business owners who simply want to run their business in a manner that honors their God.

Republican Death Wish

Republican Death Wish

The video below tells the story of Emilie from Tennessee. She has lupus, and had health care coverage which helped her treat this disease…before ObamaCare came along to “help” her in typical government fashion. ObamaCare came along and cancelled her perfectly good health care coverage to “make things better” as government usually does.

Senator John McCain (R-AZ)

John McCain Censured for Being a RINO

It looks like a state Republican Party has finally done what many (including the South Dakota GOP) state GOPs should be doing: censured a member of their party for betraying the values and principles of the Republican Party.

The Return of the Prodigal Son, Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (1617–1682)

Is the Prodigal GOP Inching Home?

Although the GOP’s RINO establishment still controls its legislative reins, I’m mildly encouraged by some recent developments at the Republican National Committee (RNC) level. It seems that under the leadership of Chairman Reince Priebus, the party is moving – at least to some degree – back toward its historical conservative platform moorings.

South Dakota Legislature: Unity…or Complicity?

South Dakota Legislature: Unity…or Complicity?

The Sioux Falls Argus Leader featured an article today which was both very interesting and not a surprise at the same time. The article was entitled “Analysis: In a land of political divide and vitriol, S.D. Legislature is a surprising oasis of unity.” I wonder how many people it has occurred to that, when you have such a deep ideological divide between Democrats and Republicans as we have today, unity is the LAST thing you want-at least, if you care about what is right.

Why Republicans lost Virginia governor’s race

Why Republicans lost Virginia governor’s race

Each day, Americans see more clearly what a disaster the Affordable Care Act has created with its health-insurance exchanges. If Republican leadership would have unified clearly around the efforts of Cruz and Lee, and shown Americans a clear picture of Republican commitment to slay the Obamacare monster, it would have helped the party and Cuccinelli. Republicans have lost in recent years not because they’ve been too bold or too conservative. They’ve failed because of a lack of clarity, conviction and courage.

Republican Establishment Chose to Lose in Virginia

Republican Establishment Chose to Lose in Virginia

Well, it’s a very sad loss in Virginia as Republican Ken Cuccinelli lost 46-48% to Democrat Terry “McAwful” McAuliffe, with spoiler “Libertarian” candidate Robert Sarvis (who didn’t seem very much like a real libertarian) siphoning away 7% of the vote that almost certainly would have gone to Cuccinelli in his absence. Why did such a great Republican like Cuccinelli lose? Was he “too conservative” as the RINO sellouts would have us believe?

A Democrat who says she's Taxed Enough Already (TEA)

A Suggested Tea Party Strategy

An old saying advises people “not to put all your eggs in one basket”. I suggest that Tea Party supporters should “not put all your votes in one basket”. By this I mean that the Tea Party should work to influence and overtake the leadership in both major parties. Don’t laugh or scoff. The establishment Republicans don’t like the Tea Party supporters. So, why not work to influence and take control of the Democratic Party. There are plenty of “Reagan Democrats” who don’t like the Obama wing of their party.

The Tarnishing of the Republican Brand

The Tarnishing of the Republican Brand

From Less Gov and Liberty TV, Gordon Howie and I recently discussed the tarnishing of the Republican and conservative brands on Liberty TV. When “Republicans” oppose conservative policies and help advance liberal ones, it’s like buying a can of Coke and opening it up to find…Mountain Dew. Not what you asked for, and maybe not even something you can stomach.

Latest Republican Failure a Surprise?

Latest Republican Failure a Surprise?

The capitulation of the leadership of the Republican Party in the showdown over the what was sold as a “government shutdown”, should not surprise anyone. What is surprising is that, in light of the track record of the conservative party, so many people would expect any other result. Isn’t this the conservative party that always folds its cards when the liberals/progressives/socialists go “all in”? In fact, what has this party ever conserved, other than the liberal victories of it’s supposed adversary?
