The institutions and behavior that provide the glue holding together a faithful, civil, and virtuous society have collapsed. The traditional American family is in shambles. Forty three percent of our babies now born to unwed mothers compared to 5 percent a half century ago. And over 56 million aborted unborn children. It was not by accident that America’s first president George Washington warned the young nation, in his farewell address, that religion and morality are “indispensible” to “political prosperity”.

As secular controls increase and open hostility toward Christianity advances, our freedom to faithfully teach and practice our beliefs will continue to fall prey to greater obstructions and outright interference by a liberal political machine intent on dismantling our Judeo-Christian foundation. We are seeing plenty of evidence of this in our current day. Anyone who dares to declare (no matter how compassionate the approach) a belief that runs counter to the liberal social agenda, better be prepared to face the wrath of the social progressives.

Consider the multi-billion dollar industry of Madison Avenue. It is devoted to manipulating people to desire things they probably cannot afford, so that they buy things they do not need to impress people they don’t even care about. How do we oppose this lure of covetousness in our own heart, how do we oppose the politics of covetousness in our culture?

By the looks of the church leaders in America today, one can only see why the enemy has become so emboldened. To tell these church leaders, to lay the axe to the root of the tree would be the unthinkable due to the fact that they are a bunch of spiritual weaklings. They would simply reply that the axe is too heavy.

As we see example after example after example of every branch of our federal government trample the constitution established by “we the people” and the natural rights of “we the people” (and our state governments often complicit in the betrayal), the idea of standing in defiance of our own government is no longer some vague academic exercise, but a very real necessity that is right before our face.

Cheap grace: just another way of describing the Gospel that is being peddled by the neo-evangelicals. A costless Christianity. Eternal life at wholesale-club prices.

It is widely known that Americans are spending themselves into debt slavery. For example, Bloomberg business reported last September that consumer debt was at an all time high of $3.2 trillion with credit cards and auto loans leading the pack. “Spending on repairs and net used cars has barely budged… But the fact that spending seems to be coming at the expense of more debt suggests Americans are putting themselves in a riskier financial position… an increasing share of that debt finances consumption that only declines in value.

There is no such thing as same-sex marriage. Neither individual states nor the Supreme Court have any such authority to redefine marriage. You see, some things are real. Some things are make believe. Knowing the difference is critically, crucially important.

With each passing year, society is reaping the destructive consequences of a culture that has come to view normative moral standards as oppressive and antiquated. This rejection has caused and continues to cause damage and misery, particularly among society’s most vulnerable members.

Riots, terror, nukes, contagious diseases, lawlessness, media infiltration, cronyism, hate speech, controlled leaks, political wars, communism, scientism, religious humanism, selective reporting, judicial activism, tyrannical decrees, ethics violations, immorality, indoctrination, extortion, invasion, debauchery, exploitation, blackmail, secret societies, unholy wars…… it’s getting pretty bleak.
