Romney Campaign a Recipe for Disaster

Romney Campaign a Recipe for Disaster

For those who may still be entertaining the delusion that Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney even remotely represents authentic Republican values, Erick Erickson’s latest at RedState is a must-read.  Exit polls make clear what we already knew: Romney supporters are mostly those with little or no affection for core Republican values and principles. Not a surprise since Romney himself has little loyalty for many fundamental Republican positions. This is a recipe for disaster.

Looking for a Reagan Conservative

Looking for a Reagan Conservative

A Reagan conservative believes in a balance of social conservatism, economic conservatism, and national security conservatism. Ronald Reagan understood the meaning of party unity. He also understood how to keep things clear, concise and focused. Ronald Reagan the conservative also communicated a program in language that Americans could plainly understand and goals that were easily grasped. Where do the GOP candidates stack up?

Revised: Rick Santorum Certified the Winner in Iowa

Revised: Rick Santorum Certified the Winner in Iowa

As reported by The Des Moines Register, CNN and a growing number of media outlets, the Iowa caucus vote has finally been certified and Mitt Romney was NOT the winner. Instead, Rick Santorum has been certified the winner by 34 votes. The false win attributed to Mitt Romney has robbed Santorum of the momentum that would have legitimately been his, had he been announced the winner that night.

Inside the Conservatives of Faith Conference in Texas

Over 150 Christian conservatives met this weekend in Texas to discuss the presidential candidates and seek consensus on the one who could turn our nation back from its dangerous course. After much discussion and prayer, a strong consensus was reached on Rick Santorum. This is a look inside the process and motivations of those who came to that decision, and why they did what they did.

What Happens When a Party Alienates Its Base?

What Happens When a Party Alienates Its Base?

Rush Limbaugh mentioned Jonah Goldberg’s latest column on his show yesterday. It deals with the fading illusion that has been fed to Republican voters by the GOP establishment that RINO Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney is the “only one who can beat Obama.” Its now being revealed as the horse manure it always was. The RINOs have gone out on a limb promoting a bad candidate, cooperating with the “mainstream” media, and now it’s almost too late to change course to nominate a real Republican.

The Human Weathervane

The Human Weathervane

Mitt Romney has earned the label of “filp-flopper” for his ability to switch opinions on any given issue at any given time. I once read a comment from a “Plan C: Romney” voter who described Mitt Romney as a weathervane: his position changes depending on which way the wind is blowing. It is imperative that the Republican Party oust the Democrats and their President from the White House, but do we need to sacrifice our values in order to win?

Beware the Myth of Inevitability

Beware the Myth of Inevitability

In politics, as with many competitive enterprises, frontrunners love to promote the myth of inevitability. But surely Republican primary voters are smarter than that. Surely they realize that the outcome of the nomination lies in their hands, not the candidates’ or the pundits’ or the media’s. They should not fall for the myth of inevitability, but instead create their own reality.

Gingrich Skins the Media on Their Pro-Homosexual Bias

Gingrich Skins the Media on Their Pro-Homosexual Bias

During the GOP debate last night, after a round of the “moderators” trying to make the Republican candidates look like mean ole bigots, Newt Gingrich threw it back in the face of the “mainstream” media and illustrated how they are supporting an anti-freedom, anti-family, anti-society agenda. Of course, Mitt Romney tried to play “me too,” but in light of the facts, his silly behavior falls flat.

Santorum Finishes Iowa a Very Close Second

Santorum Finishes Iowa a Very Close Second

Rick Santorum came in a very close second in the Iowa caucuses last night, with Mitt “RomneyCare” Romney getting 8 more votes out of something like 122,000. Not bad for a guy the “mainstream” media wasn’t even bothering to attack and malign a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully now that so many Republicans have allowed themselves to be led around by the nose by liberals, with only one genuine Republican left, we can finally settle in behind a real representative of our party and put this RINO Romney to rest.
