Foreigner Understands America Better Than Many Americans

Foreigner Understands America Better Than Many Americans

This man is foreign-born (I don’t recall whether he’s become an American citizen or not) and yet he grasps and appreciates infinitely more of what America is about than many natural-born Americans do-especially the Marxist malcontents in the Occupy Wall Street movement. He is a disabled person. Yet he has taken steps to better his life, rather than whining and blaming others for his condition. If the spoiled babies in the Occupy Wall Street movement would put forth half the effort this man has…

Rep. Allen West on What Makes America Great

Rep. Allen West on What Makes America Great

A great speech by a great man about a great country.  We need this man (and a few hundred more like him) at the helm of our nation. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Rep. Allen West (R-FL)

The folly of God-denial

The folly of God-denial

As the political season heats up it occurs to me that, as important as elections are, unless the hearts of men are changed, the heart of a nation cannot awaken. Our nation is experiencing heart failure. It needs an awakening – a spiritual awakening. Desperately. Every year secular-“progressives” and obnoxious atheist pressure groups exponentially ramp up demands that all traces of Christianity be purged from the public sphere; particularly at Christmas time. This is like demanding the abolition of penicillin during an outbreak of Typhoid Fever.

America: Be Not Deceived!

America: Be Not Deceived!

Many conservatives want to address the fiscal crisis in America first, then maybe look at the social train wreck after the fact. My conservative friends, please forget about America’s EXPONENTIAL fiscal debt of 15 Trillion dollars. That is just peanuts and a little baby straw man that has been erected by the god of this world and his lawless minions of moral relativism to distract you from the massive disintegration of the dam of moral fiber and absolutes.

The Battleground for America’s Future

The Battleground for America’s Future

Hold onto your horses, 2012 promises to be even more filled with political acrimony, finger pointing and low approval ratings than even the just departed 2011, but that is not a bad thing. Every piece of legislation, regulatory action, speech and appointment coming out of Washington, D.C. in 2012 will be subjected to intense political scrutiny as advocates for vastly increased government responsibilities and power seek to maintain control of the White House.

George Washington, Inspired by Heaven

George Washington, Inspired by Heaven

After winning the Battle of Trenton, Christmas night, George Washington’s small force met General Cornwallis’ 8,000 man British army. The night before the battle, Washington left his campfires burning and silently marched his army around the back of the British camp at Princeton, New Jersey. At daybreak, JANUARY 3, 1777, Washington attacked, capturing three regiments of British troops.

Commemorating Betsy Ross

Commemorating Betsy Ross

A 3-cent stamp honoring Betsy Ross was issued in Philadelphia, JANUARY 2, 1952, commemorating the 200th anniversary of her birth. Born a day earlier, January 1, 1752, to a Quaker family in Philadelphia, Betsy was the 8th of 17 children. She apprenticed as a seamstress and fell in love with upholsterer John Ross, son of an Episcopal rector at Christ Church and nephew of Declaration signer, George Ross. As Quakers forbade interdenominational marriage, John and Betsy eloped, being married by New Jersey Governor William Franklin, Ben Franklin’s son.

Everything on the computer should not go into the trash

Everything on the computer should not go into the trash

There are oceans of stuff, yes, stuff, on the computer that we wade through that should go straight to the trash. Then, every now and then something pops up that needs to be shared. That is the basis for today’s column. This column generally deals with and is about South Dakota issues. Today’s column tells how the American Dream is being destroyed.

Executive Orders

Executive Orders

Our nation was not founded to be a centrally planned socially straight-jacketed empire ruled by the decrees of a sovereign. With President Obama, seconded and supported by his Attorney General Holder, deciding not to enforce laws they disagree with, the rule of law has ended in the United States. We can date our passage from a nation of laws to a nation of men not with this momentous decision but more effectively from the moment our elected representatives declined to declare this action to be unconstitutional and illegal.

Northern Plains Pastor’s Briefing

Northern Plains Pastor’s Briefing

The Watchmen on the Wall 2011 Northern Plains Pastor’s Briefing was held today in Rapid City, South Dakota. Watchmen on the Wall holds a national briefing every year in May, but very few across the country; Rapid City was fortunate to be chosen to host this year’s event for the Northern Plains area.
