Freedom or Freebies

Freedom or Freebies

As I read my daily devotional at Men of Integrity this morning, I was reminded of the choice before us on Election Day today. The Bible passage today was from Numbers 13-14. The devotional discussed how the people of Israel had been promised a land of prosperity, after having been miraculously put on that path by an all-powerful God. All they had to do was continue following God and go in and take ownership of the land.

Does Your State Require Voter ID?

Does Your State Require Voter ID?

As the nation heads to the polls today, many of us will need to make sure we take our ID with us. Voter identification helps keep down election fraud. Who among us doesn’t have an ID for the many things we need identification for (writing a check, using a credit card, flying on a plane, etc.)? Voter ID helps ensure dead people aren’t voting, others aren’t voting twice, people aren’t voting for an invalid who probably wouldn’t make it to the polls anyway, etc.

What Can Men Do?

What Can Men Do?

As we face the battle for the soul and future of our nation today, doing so with inadequate forces against a relentless and multitudinous army (the liberal-controlled federal government, academia, the Leftist media, et al) I was reminded yesterday of a dramatic statement made in the face of dismaying opposition. Remember the second Lord of the Rings movie, The Two Towers?

Talking to a Liberal on Election Eve

Talking to a Liberal on Election Eve

I realize I am preaching to the choir here on the sites that carry this column, and I do not have to tell you how crucial it is that we get this anti-American, junior tyrant out of our White House on this Election Day. But, it remains that there are many people in our nation who do not perceive the real nature of liberalism, who support its horrendous goals of wealth “redistribution,” all-powerful, monstrous government and the silencing of those who speak against liberalism’s tyranny.

Thomas Peterffy

Today’s Choice: Freedom, or Socialist Mediocrity

Thomas Peterffy has lived under two extremes in his lifetime. He has lived under the brutal heel of Marxism, and he has lived under the freedom found best under the American way. Having experienced both, Peterffy passionately implores Americans not to trade their rich and unique heritage of freedom for the elusive and never-fulfilled empty promise of Marxism.

Liberal Democrat McGrath Paints Himself as ‘True Conservative’

Things have gotten so Orwellian in South Dakota that it’s impossible for the average citizen to have a good grasp of what’s going on. We have “Republicans” backing Democrats in the election, “Republicans” voting like Democrats, “Republicans” acting like Democrats, and now we even have Democrats acting like Republicans and trying to pass themselves off as the “real conservative” in their respective races. This is what you get when certain Republicans won’t stand for Republican values.

Sec. of State Warns of Erroneous Voter Mailings

South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant wants to warn all voters to be cautious about recent mailings from outside groups detailing where your polling place is on Election Day. Conservatism: The Return Path to American Greatness

Conservatism: The Return Path to American Greatness

Mitt Romney may not be a whole lot for a conservative to vote for…but you darn sure have a whole lot to vote AGAINST from Barack Obama. This little video provides an excellent recap of the multitude of reasons why we need to rid this anti-American Marxist big spender from the United States government.

It’s Almost Time to Learn Our Fate

It’s Almost Time to Learn Our Fate

Tuesday is the day we shall learn whether we are on a course of complete destruction or the chance of reconstruction. One part of me wishes for the results to be in — to know the fate set into motion — while the other part fears what the outcome might be. This world, after all, has turned into an unpredictable and crazy one. There is no rhyme or reason left to rely upon. Little adds up and seldom does it ever when it comes to the rulers of our country. Yes… rulers. We do, however, have our vote! I’ll use my wisely on Tuesday!

Obama has repeatedly lied. Do enough people know or care?

War on Women? Do enough women get it? Do enough realize that it is Obama & Playmates that are taking them back to being nothing more than their sex organs — not the Republicans trying to do so?

Do enough people realize they are being played or are they simply just too in awe of their leader of spin and deceit?

There are no guarantees as to what Tuesday will bring, though there is an absolute of what the results should be. Romney should win. He has a proven track record of success. He doesn’t have to always have his way. He has a proven record of working with both Democrats and Republicans to try and find the best possible solution to any given problem.

What does Obama have? A good golf score and Hollywood pals? How about a record of going around Congress and stirring up racial and gender and class warfare?

Oh… and as for that promised transparency… how much of it has been seen?

We have Fast & Furious and the Executive Order to protect whomever!

We have Libya with four dead and so many different stories it appears no one can keep straight what the latest one is.

We have a great many things that aren’t right.

We do, however, have our vote! I’ll use my wisely on Tuesday! Please use yours wisely as well!

It’s Not About Obama…It’s About Us

This week we get to revisit that national choice, and cast our votes not just for a candidate, but also on that false mentality about race. We can again accept the liberal lie that blacks can’t measure up to the same standards as everyone else, or we can once and for all reject that insidious form of racism and simply hold President Obama to the same standards by which we judge any other sitting president. President Obama has had four years to deliver on his rhetoric and promises; let’s just judge him on that.
