Why Are STDs Rising in South Dakota?

When you read the news these days, you have to be very educated about the truth in order to have a clue about what’s really going on. It became crystal clear many years ago that the “mainstream” media is never going to give you the full story. Oh, most of the time, they can’t avoid giving you some of the truth… but they are always careful to make sure you never get the real story. After all, they have a liberal agenda to protect.

Take, for instance, this story in the Rapid City Journal today about the “dramatic” rise in sexually transmitted diseases in our state.

Now, I’m not a newspaper guy. But I do have some investigative experience both through many years as a military police detective, and from four years on a high school newspaper. What are the basics anyone who does some reporting should know about writing a story? You have to answer certain questions with the story: who, what, when, where, why and how. Without these, you have an incomplete (some would argue “lame”) story.

What does this article tell us?

Chlamydia cases last year were up 25 percent from 2013. Cases of gonorrhea in the state have more than doubled since 2009, while syphilis has gone from a just a handful of cases to dozens.

Wow. In fact, State Epidemiologist Lon Kightlinger says little conservative South Dakota has one of the highest syphilis rates in the country.

How the heck does that happen? Has everyone in South Dakota suddenly lost their minds? Or is this rise coming from a particular segment of society that is notably reckless?

Well, if you’d been educating yourself (and not relying on the “mainstream” media for useful information), you’d probably know that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reported nearly a year ago that homosexual behavior is driving an alarming increase in syphilis. Incidentally, around that same time, South Dakota also reported a syphilis rise…though, again, the “mainstream” media here in South Dakota give us no clue as to why. (Did they not go to journalism school? Remember that “who, what, when, where, why and how”?)

Well, there is a reason. What sexual dynamic is known for being stunningly promiscuous?  No, it isn’t average teenagers (though there is an element of that in that dynamic). The homosexual community is known far and wide-even admitted among most of the homosexual community-for being incredibly promiscuous.

Promiscuity is so rampant in the homosexual community that, as a study reported in Western Sexuality shows, few homosexual relationships last even as long as two years, with many men reporting hundreds of sexual partners. In many places, AIDS has been reported as being ten times as prevalent among homosexuals as among prostitutes. Monogamy is almost unknown among the homosexual community, with the few claiming to be monogamous usually having “creative” definitions of monogamy (i.e. “If my partner knows I”m having sex with someone else, it doesn’t count as infidelity”).

One of the most stunning statistics is that, according to the CDC, homosexuals (who make up less than 3% of the population) account for between 60% and 70% of new AIDS cases. It would be alarming enough if there were roughly as many homosexuals as heterosexuals, but when homosexuals only make up less than 3% of the population, this statistic practically screams for attention.

In fact, the homosexual community is plagued, due to this promiscuous behavior, with a variety of increased health risks including AIDS, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, HPV, anal cancer, hepatitis, depression, anxiety, suicide, and domestic violence.

Now, the Rapid City Journal article did go to the trouble of telling us that “social media” might be to blame because this has something to do with making it “easier for people to find anonymous sex partners.”  Hmm.

And what sexual dynamic is most (by far) known for anonymous sexual encounters? Homosexuality again. And though you probably will never see it in the headlines of “mainstream” media, the epidemic of anonymous sex among homosexuals is frequently and quietly admitted even on the Left (warning: explicit content at these links).

So it seems pretty clear that, although there may be other factors, homosexual behavior is definitely in the driver’s seat of South Dakota’s increasing STD rate. Why would something like that be going on in a state that is supposedly so conservative?  Maybe because South Dakota isn’t really as conservative as we thought.

When we see a “Republican” supermajority refuse to protect Christian businesses from religious freedom attacks by homosexual activists, “Republicans” fighting marriage in South Dakota, “Republicans” in South Dakota getting pro-homosexual election endorsements, and a “Republican” governor joins liberals in smearing as a racist a legislator who tried to protect religious freedom, it should be no surprise to see homosexual activists coming to South Dakota, and growing more bold with their destructive lifestyle.

No, South Dakota isn’t the safe, conservative place we thought it was. And, despite the whitewashing efforts of the “mainstream” media, we’re starting to see the evidence of this decay in the headlines.

And yet the politically-correct public face of homosexuality emphasizes an appearance of faithful, stable, committed long-term relationships — an appearance that far too many people don’t realize is fake as a $3 bill.
