Senate Conservatives Fund Backing McConnell Challenger

Matt BevinThe Senate Conservatives Fund, a group founded by Jim DeMint, has come out and endorsed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s challenger Matt Bevin in Kentucky.

“Matt Bevin is a true conservative who will fight to stop the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that are destroying our country. He is not afraid to stand up to the establishment and he will do what it takes to stop Obamacare. We know that winning this primary won’t be easy. Mitch McConnell has the support of the entire Washington establishment and he will do anything to hold on to power. But if people in Kentucky and all across the country rise up and demand something better, we’re confident Matt Bevin can win this race.”

All Mitch McConnell has “led” Republicans in the Senate to, with his bumbling manner and self-defeating strategy of preemptive surrender is loss, loss, loss.

Mitch McConnell isn’t the only bumbling “surrender monkey” with a bullseye on his back. From National Review:

Ted Cruz 2016

SCF isn’t alone in eyeing the Senate minority leader. Sarah Palin has intimated she’ll target him as well (per the Huffington Post), and a number of conservative leaders who spoke with National Review Online say they feel he should take much of the blame for the failure of their strategy to defund the Affordable Care Act.

“Mitch McConnell fought this thing from Day One and actively worked against it, going back to July when it first really started gathering steam,” says Dean Clancy of FreedomWorks. ”And he engineered the cloture vote defeat that put the House in such a bad position after they had done the right thing.”

Jenny Beth Martin of Tea Party Patriots echoed that sentiment.

“The level of frustration among the grassroots is unlike anything that I have seen in four and a half years towards the Republican party at the moment,” she says, adding that the activists she works with are particularly frustrated with McConnell.

But McConnell isn’t alone. Clancy tells National Review Online that Senator John Cornyn (R., Texas) should expect a primary challenger from the right.

I remember the motto of one squadron I was familiar with when I was in the Air Force:

Lead, follow, or get out of the way.

Many of these guys–Boehner and McConnell chief among them–claim they want to lead…but all they want to “lead” is a surrender to the liberal agenda.

They could step down and follow someone–say, Ted Cruz in the Senate or Tom Price in the House–who is willing to lead and play to win.

But if they aren’t willing to do either of those, they need to just get out of the way–even if it takes the help of Republicans to primary them and get them out of the way. All of these losers need to be cleaned out. America doesn’t have time or health for them to feather their nests; we need people who will sacrifice friends, popularity and their careers if need be to save our republic.

We have another “surrender monkey” wannabe running for the Senate as a “Republican” here in South Dakota: RINO Mike Rounds. Sorry, we don’t need to add members to the loser brigade.

But we also have a solid conservative running for U.S. Senate: State Rep. Stace Nelson. He’s an underdog, but hopefully groups like the Senate Conservatives Fund will back him and help him counterbalance the immense amount of money going to the RINO choice from the establishment RINOs.

We need Republicans who actually believe in Republican principles and priorities, and who are willing to go to the mat with a can-do attitude to advance them. Conservatives need to come together and back reliable candidates. They won’t win if we just sit on the sidelines and complain.

Jim Demint called for Romneycare to be applied across the country. I saw the video of him saying that today in case you claim otherwise. So what changed his mind?

I seriously doubt that what you said is completely accurate. Liberals are constantly misrepresenting or distorting facts and will resort to outright lying if necessary to sell their agenda.

I am sure there is a video of Jim DeMint saying something about the Massachusetts system of healthcare. However, I really doubt if he did as you claim. Could you please provide a link as I would like to watch this video and see for myself.

So why is a person who wants to deceive people into thinking he lives in Canada, and wants to preserve the personal privacy for himself that he demands Americans surrender to the federal government, so eager to see America go down the road to socialist mediocrity?
