Back on April 24th you received an email updating you on the SDHSAA transgender policy debate. In that email I informed you that at their April 21st board meeting in Pierre, the SDHSAA Board decided to put off making a decision until their May 15th meeting. Now is the time to make your voice heard.

At this point, the SDHSAA Board has decided to NOT take action on the transgender policy until their May 15, 2015 board meeting. In the interim, they are going to send out a survey to all of the superintendents of the associated schools in order to solicit their thoughts and opinions regarding the policy.

Sadly, I was not too surprised when I read that South Dakota’s RINO Governor Dennis Daugaard vetoed HB 1008, a bill which simply said what people considered “Duh-level obvious” just a few years ago, i.e. that if you are a biological male, you are to use the male’s restroom/locker room, and if you are a biological female, you are to use the female’s restroom/locker room.

Some of the bills being considered by the South Dakota Legislature on Feb. 16 include one to channel video lottery revenue to teacher salaries, expanding tax incentives for nenewable energy projects, criminal sentencing, the transgender “bathroom bill” and more.

Several bills were heard in the South Dakota Legislature last week dealing with homosexual and transgender issues, as well as the religious liberty being targeted by the Left’s sexual agenda.

The South Dakota Legislature will be considering a large number of important bills Wednesday including one to protect religious liberty and the right of conscience, to clarify that boys are boys and girls are girls, gambling, property rights and more.

The South Dakota House State Affairs Committee considered HB 1008 today which would require confused students to use the restroom/locker room appropriate for their biological sex, and not allow them to use a restroom/locker room of the opposite sex.

Some of the bills being voted on in the South Dakota legislateure today include ones dealing with transgenderism and school locker rooms, expanding gambling in South Dakota, liquor licenses, homeschooling and more.

It was becoming pretty apparent that the South Dakota Board of Education didn’t have the student’s best interest in mind when they jumped on board the Common Core train. Now that I hear the SD Board of Education has just approved new standards that do not require schools to teach early U.S. history in high school, there’s no doubt.

By my count, the good senators and representatives of South Dakota have now made four attempts to rescind the pro-transgender, pro-homosexual policy adopted by the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) last year. The fourth is now on “life support” in a conference committee as a last attempt to remove this harmful policy from our education system.
