The libs at the Argus Leader are peeing their pants over the recent victory for religious freedom in the Hobby Lobby case, and quickly turning it to fear monger support for the homosexual agenda. And believe it or not, our “Republican” governor Dennis Daugaard is on the wrong side.

Despite the “mainstream” media’s attempt to destroy South Dakota Senator Phil Jensen for daring to violate homosexual PC, despite the efforts of RINOs to paint Jensen as a racist, and despite being thrown under the bus by RINO Governor Dennis Daugaard, and despite a very well funded primary opponent, Jensen prevailed in a recount of his primary victory earlier this month.

It seems I’m not the only Republican who sees through the recent Leftist “race card” play by the “mainstream” media and the subsequent RINO effort to throw a conservative under the bus.

Did you know that your elected representatives in government work for YOU, and that they are accountable to YOU? If you didn’t, you should, and you should also know how well your employee is doing their job. Are your representatives doing a good job?

The South Dakota Blue Ribbon Task Force on education came to Rapid City last night. The task force met at the Ramkota with educators, then business leaders, and lastly yesterday evening with members of the general public. The meeting last night was fairly well attended, with about 85 people present.

Gov. Dennis Daugaard today signed into law legislation to reform South Dakota’s juvenile justice system. Under these reforms it is expected that 29 percent fewer juveniles will be on probation in the next 5 years and more than 50 percent fewer youth will placed in state-funded facilities by 2020.

The “Republican” supermajority South Dakota Senate voted 34-0 today of SCR 4, calling on congress to support “equity and sales tax fairness.” The text of the bill makes it clear that it targets internet sales when it talks about “remote sellers that have no physical presence in the taxing state.”

A couple of days ago, I sent this letter to the Family Heritage Alliance. Since the actions of FHA with which I take great exception were public, I am now making this letter public.

There’s been a lot of hype in Republican circles lately over RCN Chairman Reince Priebus’ recent speech and this statement. I’ve seen the hype nationally, and I’ve received healthy doses of it in my inbox from local Republican sources. Trying to have an open mind, I read the document and listened to Priebus’ speech to see what I thought.

As I was reading and reflecting on George Washington’s Farewell Address of 1796 today, it hit me like a soft ton of bricks how prescient President Washington was some 218 years ago. He warned against and soundly condemned the behavior that has unfortunately become the very heart and soul of the “Republican” agenda today.
