History will also afford the frequent opportunities of showing the necessity of a public religion, from its usefulness to the public; the advantage of a religious character among private persons; the mischiefs of superstition, and the excellency of the Christian religion above all others, ancient or modern. — Benjamin Franklin, Proposals Relating to the Education of Youth in Pennsylvania (Philadelphia, 1749), p. 22.

What Real Republicans Look Like

October 18, 2014   ·   By   ·   0 Comments

This is what a pair of real Republicans look like.

From South Dakota’s District 35, Chip Campbell and Lynne DiSanto.

Unapologetically standing for limited government, low taxes, traditional marriage, the Second Amendment and local control.

Chip is a House veteran and has proven he doesn’t just say it around election time-he votes it.

Lynne is running for the first time, but I’ve talked with her a number of times, broken bread with her and her husband Mark, and have seen her “put her money where her mouth is” when it comes to standing for what is right.

We Need a Leaner, Smarter Justice System

Ken Connor

We need a sensible, pragmatic, and effective sentencing process. As with so many failed policies hanging around America's neck like so many millstones, the current system is a result of politics being put ahead of practical wisdom. It is possible to be tough on crime, to protect the American people from the bad guys while using our limited resources wisely and effectively.

GOP Already Waving ObamaCare Surrender Flag

Bob Ellis

The "Republicans" aren't wasting any time in waving the ObamaCare surrender flag. They can't even wait to (hopefully) get control of the U.S. Senate before they start surrendering (Hint: they already started surrendering to ObamaCare, long ago).

Homosexual activists attack

Homosexual Movement Is Deadly To Our Natural Rights

Gina Miller

Perhaps the most diabolical advancement of Barack Obama’s tyrannical, anti-American agenda is in the area of the radical homosexual movement. From militant homosexual activists, we have seen a full-frontal assault on the rights of Christians and others who oppose the campaign to force on America the acceptance of special “rights” for sexual deviants and the destruction of the definition of marriage.

Stewardship of Liberty

Dale Pflug

Stewardship is defined as “the responsible overseeing and protection of something considered worth caring for and preserving”! Liberty is: “freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control; freedom from external or foreign rule; and freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc., power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice.”

The Silence of the Lambs on the Right

Victor Sharpe

It is always a delicious moment when progressives (the current politically correct name for left-wingers, socialists, and Marxists) have to admit their falsehoods. Such is the case with the same progressives who relentlessly repeated the lie during the administration of President George W. Bush that no WMDs were found in Iraq.

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the party over to the so-called moderates wouldn't make any sense at all." - Ronald Reagan, Nov. 10, 1964
