Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli spoke at the Values Voter Summit Saturday morning.

Cuccinelli was the first one to challenge the abomination known as ObamaCare. When Media Research Center President Brent Bozell introduced him, Bozell called Cuccinelli the “next governor of the state of Virginia.”

Cuccinelli said that addition to enforcing the everyday laws of his state, he also has an obligation as state attorney general to uphold the Constitution of Virginia and the United States Constitution. When it is violated as ObamaCare perpetrates, he is obligated to fight that violation.

Cuccinelli said that even the tyrant we overthrew in 1776 understood something that President Obama and his Democrats don’t understand: the American people cannot morally be forced to buy something they do not want.

He pointed out the absurdity of the federal government’s contention: that the federal government has standing to penalize you for doing nothing.  Obama and his socialists believe they can constitutionally force you to buy something you don’t want; how far is it away from the federal government manufacturing constitutional standing to penalize you for what you think?

Cuccinelli said that he and the other states who filed suit against this assault on the Constitution won on three of the four constitutional points they made, but they had to be four for four to preserve liberty.  Though he is disappointed in the decision, Cuccinelli says “Repeal is within reach on November 6.”

In addition to fighting for freedom on the health care and commerce front, Cuccinelli said Virginia is also fighting for America against the EPA (or Employment Prevention Agency, as he calls is) and their costly, economically debilitating regulations, as well as the FCC and attempts to regulate the internet.

As Cuccinelli said, an attack on one of us Americans or states is an attack on us all.
