Homosexual Movement Threatens These Freedoms

wrecking_ballIt is pointless to answer the insincere, bully arguments of militant homosexual activists, because they will not accept the truth, no matter how plainly, simply and in small words it is presented to them. These people have a propagandist mission of flooding conservative website comment sections with their deceptive talking points (which is why we have very little patience for allowing them to freely spread those lies on our comment forums). But, it is important to refute their lies for the many others out there who are not involved in watching this movement, who do not see its progress nor understand the very real danger to some of our fundamental freedoms that this movement poses.

We are already seeing our rights being eroded. Just ask Christian business owners who are being successfully sued by homosexual activists when the Christians refuse to participate in the shameful abomination of marriage. The Left’s fallacious argument that “business owners can’t discriminate” against same-sex “marriage” customers is a bogus weapon that far too many people blindly accept. In a free nation, business owners are under no obligation to accept the business of anyone who walks in the door, much less those who are pushing a degenerate mockery of marriage in the face of the business owner.

Do not be misled by homosexual activists’ false comparison of the civil rights movement for the equal treatment of black people to homosexuals. That is a completely illegitimate equation. There is no correlation at all between the morally neutral, innate characteristic of ethnicity and the chosen, sinful behavior of homosexuality. As wise people in the black Christian community say, “Don’t compare your sin to my skin!

Our society has become so deeply corrupt, that a growing number of people no longer believe that homosexual behavior is wrong, although it always has been wrong and always will be wrong. A growing number of people also do not understand that marriage is one thing only: the union of a man and a woman, and it can be nothing else, or it’s not marriage. People who lack a right moral foundation will not accept the truth. However, a lack of understanding by anyone does not change the fact that our rights and freedoms are in the cross-hairs of the militant homosexual movement. If the evil sham of same-sex “marriage” and other “rights” of the homofascist movement are imposed on the entire United States of America, these freedoms will be in grave danger:

Freedom of Conscience and Religion

Christian business owners’ freedom to run their businesses by the moral code of the Bible and according to their consciences will be effectively outlawed in America. They will not be free to reject the lying premise of same-sex “marriage,” and under penalty of law, will be forced to violate their conscience and religious beliefs to accommodate same-sex “marriage” business demands. The countless examples of homo-activist lawsuits that have prevailed against Christian business owners who did not want to use their work to participate in same-sex “marriage” are already a testament to this truth. This will also affect countless other people of conscience, like marriage license clerks, who would be forced to issue these sham licenses to same-sex couples or lose their jobs.

Freedom of Association

“Discrimination” is a necessary thing in life (it simply means “to make a distinction”), but this word has been hijacked and turned into a weapon of tyranny being used against people of conscience. The “Employment Non-Discrimination Act” (ENDA) being pushed in Congress by homofascist sympathizers, would make it illegal to “discriminate” in hiring and firing practices against men who dress like women (and the reverse) or who display other in-your-face sexually deviant behavior. So, you don’t want to hire a man dressed like Cher? Be prepared to get fined out of business, or worse, if this becomes law.

Even though this has not yet become the law of the land, many major companies have already adopted internal policies to the same effect. They mandate the acceptance in the workplace of mentally disordered “transgender” people, who imagine they are the opposite sex. They even allow them to use the restroom of the opposite sex. You don’t like it? Too bad! In many big corporations, if you want to keep your job, you no longer have the right to protest or state the obvious lunacy of such things, things that would have been rightly understood to be horribly outrageous just a few short years ago.

Freedom to Protect Your Children From Pro-Homosexual Indoctrination

If same-sex “marriage” and ENDA become law, the creeping pro-homosexual indoctrination in the public schools will become mandatory, as it already is in California. Parents will not be allowed to opt their kids out of being taught that same-sex “marriage” is real marriage, that boys and girls can choose which sex they want to be and that homosexual behavior is perfectly natural and normal, all of which are damnable lies. Even now, many parents don’t realize that the “anti-bullying” programs in the public schools are nothing more than thinly disguised pro-homosexual propaganda. Want to shield your child from having a male teacher who dresses as a female or an aggressively open homosexual teacher? Again, too bad for you.

Other Predictable Outcomes

Freedom of speech is a big target of the entire radical Left, including its homofascist wing. The United States of America’s First Amendment protection of our God-given freedom of speech is a great frustration to these people on the Left. All tyrannical regimes throughout the world and history have crushed free speech, because despots simply cannot allow the truth to be told about them. People who are free to speak are free to expose the desperate corruption of the evil guys who rule them and to declare that there is a better way than tyranny.

Likewise, homosexualists despise the truth to be told about the immoral, unnatural, unhealthy behavior of homosexuality and “transgenderism.” It is easily predictable that they will continue to work to silence those who oppose the part of their agenda that seeks to normalize perverse sexual behavior and destroy the meaning of marriage. Our freedom of speech will be in jeopardy if same-sex “marriage” and ENDA become bad law. They will accomplish this, as they have accomplished some of their other goals, through lawsuits that end up setting “precedent” and through the push for “hate speech” laws. We’re already part-way there with unconstitutional “hate crimes” laws that apply unequal protection of the law, deeming some crime victims more worthy than others of their Orwellian protection.

It is also predictable that churches will be targeted, as well. After all, if same-sex “marriage” is the law of the land, then what “right” do church leaders have to refuse to accommodate these sodomites who want to be “married” in the church? Don’t doubt this for a minute! These people will not stop until they obliterate any opposition to their twisted, despotic agenda.

As with everything the Left does, the “issue” is never the issue. For example, “Obamacare” is not about “affordable health care.” It’s about power and control over the medical industry, the health insurance industry, and our personal health care. In the same way, the man-made “global warming” hoax is not about “saving the planet.” It, too, is about power and control over our freedom of movement, our private property rights and our very way of life. Obama’s illegal amnesty is not about “compassion” for poor illegal aliens. It’s about creating a massive, permanent underclass of Democrat voters. The same goes for the radical homosexual movement. Its members claim that they only want “marriage equality” (there is no such thing) and equal “rights” (they already have those), but the real goals of this evil movement are rooted in tyranny against our freedoms, especially Christian expression, and if it’s not stopped, these and other freedoms will become a fading memory.

Wow, I’ve seen hateful, vicious mean-spirited “christian” screeds before, but this one might be the most vile thing I’ve read on the subject.
First, not everyone in the country is a christian, and this is not a “christian” nation (see US Constitution, Amendment 1, Establishment Clause for more details). Second, the use of such inflammatory rhetoric (eg, “homofascists” whatever they are) does nothing to help you prove your point. Third, your total lack of civility is astounding (and certainly not convincing.
Finally, we live in a constitutional republic, and our laws are not dictated by your cult’s rantings and ravings. Truly, you appear to have nothing but hatred for the gay folks in your heart, which certainly distances you from your Jesus, who only offered love. You proffer hate. You should be ashamed.

    • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Given your definition of “hateful”, “vicious”, and “mean spirited”, I’m sure you have…though not nearly enough.

No, not everyone in the United States is a Christian (only about 80%). By the way, the First Amendment doesn’t prohibit anyone from being a Christian, nor does it require anyone to be a Christian. You might want to read it sometime, as well as numerous statements like this one from President George Washington:

Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity. Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation desert the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice ? And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion. Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle. It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government.

Second, the use of her “inflammatory rhetoric” (which describes homofascists for what they are), isn’t intended to change the minds of closed-minded, anti-Christian bigots such as yourself. It is intended to educate and motivate people who have at least a modicum of integrity and morality, and who have a basic grasp on the threat to liberty presented by the homosexual agenda.

Third, “civility” is for cowards and losers when your enemy is coming for the throat of your freedom, as the homosexual movement has been for a number of years now. As U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said of today’s faux “civility”:

By yielding to a false form of civility, we sometimes allow our critics to intimidate us. As I have said, active citizens are often subjected to truly vile attacks. They are branded as mean-spirited, racist, Uncle Tom, homophobic, sexist, etcetera. To this we often respond, if not succumb, so as not to be constantly fighting by trying to be to non-judgmental. That is,we censor ourselves. This is not civility. It is cowardice, or well-intentioned self-deception at best.

Finally, you got one thing right: we do live in a constitutional republic (thank God), though that constitutional republic is in dire threat due to the homosexual movement’s efforts to steamroll over the First Amendment, the Tenth Amendment, and the rule of law in general.

Having known the author for several years now, I think I can speak for her in saying that she loves homosexuals enough to tell them the truth about their immoral and unhealthy lifestyle, and, like their Creator, wants better for them than their chose self-destructive lifestyle offers. That same Jesus, whom you’ve been fooled into thinking is some dope of a Santa Claus who only offers unconditional love even as his creations rebel against him and give him the middle finger, made it clear that homosexual behavior is an egregious perversion of his design for human sexuality.

It is you who should be ashamed-first for being so amazingly ignorant about both your country and your creator, and second for broadcasting that ignorance in such a brazen fashion…and if you do know better already, you should be ashamed for having tried to mislead people here.

I hope you’ll seek out the truth, then adjust your opinions to fit the facts instead of trying to twist the facts to fit your misguided opinions.

      • Pollos Hermanos

You’re biggest mistake is thinking Gina and yourself speak for all brands of Christians.

        You represent perhaps 16-20% tops.

        • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Sadly, that’s probably about the percentage (being generous) of Christians these days who actually are Christians.

While the overwhelming majority of Americans call themselves Christians and identify with Christianity and have a general allegiance to its main tenets (which is very good), only a small portion of that number actually ARE Christians.

What is a Christian? One who follows Christ, who tries to be like Christ. You can’t rationally ignore many if not most of the teachings of Christ (honesty, integrity, sexual purity, fairness, seeking to do what God says is right, etc) and still be considered a Christian.

But the transformation of the world began 2,000 years ago with only 12. Certainly there are enough left today that, if we get our butts in gear and start living as if we really believe what we claim to believe (like the 12 did), people will start to take notice and take an interest in something authentic. In this day and age of counterfeits and fakery, something REAL has to be attractive to some people who are just sick of the fluff.

Either way, 12 billion or 12, right is right, and that’s what we’ll stand for, by God’s grace.

          • WXRGina

            Amen, Bob.

          • Pollos Hermanos

I personally wouldn’t want to tell God that you decided to be the arbiter of who is and isn’t a Christian.

From an outside point of view, it’s interesting to watch Lutherans claim Methodists aren’t real Christians or Baptists claim that Seventh Day Adventists aren’t real Christians.

According to everyone who claims the mantle of Christianity, nobody is a real Christian unless they’re exactly like they are, which is just a fascinating experiment in tribalism.

            • WXRGina

The Bible is the template, and the Bible does tell us to judge a tree by its fruit. Someone who denies the clear teachings of the Bible is not showing the fruit of Christianity. It’s not hard to see.

              • Pollos Hermanos

Yet I can name a dozen things that would disqualify you as a Christian according to other denominations.

I don’t see a head covering on you. According to the Amish, you’re in great peril.

            • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

I wouldn’t want to tell God that either. But God himself said that we would know genuine Christians by their fruit, and if the fruit your life produces isn’t consistent with the teachings of Christ, then you probably aren’t a Christian. After all, Christ said that if we loved him, we’d keep his commandments…and someone who knows about what God has said is right and wrong and STILL substitutes their own desires for what God has said, obviously doesn’t love him or follow him.

By the way, I don’t think you saw me saying this denomination or that denomination wasn’t authentically Christian. In fact, I KNOW you didn’t, because I know people from virtually every denomination that bear at least as much Christian fruit as my own life, and I have no doubts I’ll be spending eternity with them in heaven.

People in my own denomination who refuse to bow their will to God’s, however? They’ll be in Hell with ALL the pagans and God-haters.

              • Pollos Hermanos

I didn’t say you specifically. It’s very common. I remember various pastors during my youth making the case that only THIS version of Christianity was correct because of A, B and C.

It all boiled down to convincing the flock that they were in the right place, it kept the pews full and the collection plate humming along. I saw through it then, it hasn’t changed.

              • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Actually it isn’t common at all. I’ve know and worshiped with a variety of Christians from most denominations around the United States and even across the world, and very few have the kind of narrow set of standards you portray.

At best, you seem to mistake some issues about which some Christians disagree…but most would recognize do not disqualify one from salvation or being a Christian.

At worst, you’re simply using disagreement as an excuse to justify your loathing for God’s standard.

Based on this and previous conversations you and I have had and taking you at your word on those things, it sounds like you were unfortunately exposed to some very poor excuses for Christians when you were younger.

But that is no excuse to continue to bury your head and in the sand and justify your hatred for what is right. Your hatred for God might keep you warm on cold winter nights right now, but it’ll be more heat than you’ll ever want if you allow it to accompany you into eternity.

          • brian

You can follow what you claim to be the teachings of christ and still not support the enforcement of those teachings on others through the force of law. Nor do those teachings, I believe, ask you to discriminate against those who don’t believe as you do. Wasn’t Jesus quoted as saying “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s?”. We’re talking about secular law, not religiously influenced law. Many of the arguments made in this article resemble strongly what many religious groups in the South put forth against equal rights for other minorities, and they believed just as strongly as you do that they were the “true” chrisitians (which, by the way, your interpretation of scripture does not define).

            • WXRGina

Again, you’re making the false equivalence of ethnicity to homosexual behavior, proving the points in my column. You have no legitimate argument. Homosexual behavior is WRONG, and there is no such thing as same-sex “marriage.”

              • Kofender

Again, just who the heck are you to say what behavior is right or wrong? Again, Jesus said NOTHING about same-sex behavior (and again, please don’t quote Paul or anything else written by someone who barely knew the guy). You are right on one count: there is no such thing as same-sex marriage; it’s only marriage, a civil contract between two consenting, unrelated adults.

              • WXRGina

The entire Bible is the Word of Jesus, and He taught and upheld the entire law, including prohibitions against deviant sexual behavior. You are a liar, and it’s time for you to move on.

              • Lester Oliver

Did not Southern fundamentalists use the bible to support slavery? “”slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling” (Ephesians 6:5), or “tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect” (Titus 2:9)” This was your “god” speaking. Isn’t he always right? In fact Southern Baptists only apologized for their support of slavery about a decade ago. After all, Jesus never said a word against slavery OR homosexuality and even healed the homosexual lover of the Roman centurion with no chastisement ( and yes the original Greek word in the passage “pais” refers to a homosexual partner. And while YOU don’t think there is such thing as gay marriage, it seems that many nations and states now do ( and growing). What will you do when the Supreme Court settles the issue once and for all? You will be like my old granny who STILL thinks that blacks should sit at the back of the bus..

              • WXRGina

No one who understands the Bible uses it to “justify” slavery. You would do well to find another empty argument.

              • Lester Oliver

So who were these christians supporting slavery madam? So the statements by your god about slavery are lies? You will look just as stupid in a generation for your homophobia. Why are you not concerned about divorce, and adultery? Things that jesus actually talked about!

              • Lester Oliver

Go back to mexico and print bible verses on tacos!

              • WXRGina

You’re about to be sent packing. Knock off your nonsense.

              • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

No, Southern “fundamentalists” (a term used by God-haters to describe Christians) did not use the Bible to support slavery.

Democrats misused the Bible to support slavery (perverting such passages meant to teach people to behave uprightly regardless of their circumstances), in contradiction to the teachings of the Bible that one man owning another is immoral:

“Anyone who kidnaps another and either sells him or still has him when he is caught must be put to death” (Exodus 21:16).

Now we know that rthe law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the slaw is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine (1 Timothy 1:8-10)

For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)

For this perhaps is why he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, no longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. (Philemon)

And no, there is no evidence (beyond the usual desperate fantasies of homosexual activists) that the Roman centurions servant (which, for all we know, may have been a voluntary servant or an indentured servant, and not the slave that we think of when we think of “slave” today) was a homosexual lover. (Is there anything homosexual activists won’t attempt to despoil and pervert in their vain quest for legitimacy?)

And no again, there is no homosexual “marriage” anywhere in the United States or in the world, any more than there is a feline “dog” anywhere in the world. It takes a man and a woman to form the union necessary to consummate a marriage. Sticking your penis in some guy’s anus accomplishes nothing but a moment of pleasure for one or two people, and a penis with feces on it in the end. The union of a man and woman in marriage has the capacity to create new human life, and the stable, balanced environment necessary to raise that human life into healthy adulthood.

That is something homosexuals can never accomplish, no matter how desperately they want people to believe sodomy is normal.

            • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Every law-EVERY law-has a basis in morality and in a theological belief, even if that theological belief involves the rejection of God’s standard.

Only in theocracies do governments attempt to legislate theological belief and allegiance. That is not done in the American form of government. However, as the statement from President George Washington that I cited earlier indicates, every government and society has an interest in regulating behavior to protect the rights and property of all other citizens.

Tragically, the homosexual agenda threatens not only multiple freedoms, as Gina’s article points out, but threatens the stability of the family in America-and family is the earliest and most foundational institution in any society. Children are produced by men and women, and are best raised in a committed, balanced home where the biological mother and father are present. Anything that undermines the importance and sanctity of that ideal environment is an attack on the health and stability of society in general, and on children in particular.

Finally, if you want to know what a true Christian is, read the Bible. It will tell you. And it requires no interpretation-only acquiescence and obedience. There is no legitimate comparison between people who surrender their will to what the Bible says is true, versus those who seek to distort and ignore what it says…and a re-examination of what it says always reveals who the real ones are and who the fakers are.

              • Kofender

Oh my goodness, you didn’t really pull out the “homosexual agenda” did you? Okay, could you now supply all of us with this so-called agenda and list every item on it? What items threaten multiple freedoms or the stability of families in America?
You want to know the real impact of marriage equality? Here it is: data from 10+ years of marriage equality in Massachusetts indicate the overall divorce rate has dropped dramatically in the Bay State. Yes, it appears allowing LGBT people to marry has had a positive impact on couples and families (unless you think divorce is a good thing—do you?). The biggest threat to the stability of families is not the gender of the parents; it’s when the parents split. Furthermore, studies now indicate children raised by same-sex couples do as well (and sometimes better) as children raised by opposite sex couples.
You’re so worried about how LGBT people behave when you should really be concerned about how all those straight people are treating their kids (eg, child abusers, pedophiles [most of them are straight, statistically speaking], adulterers, divorced parents making the kids run interference, etc.).
Clean your own house before you worry about the dust in mine.

              • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Are you the same propaganda artist who recently tried to deny the homosexual agenda here within the last few weeks? You certainly sound like it.

The homosexual agenda is found in the Homosexual Manifesto. It is found in various public and policy agenda statements by homosexual activists. It has been documented by opponents of the homosexual agenda that have written compilations of the agenda based on the aforementioned sources. It has been extremely well documented-complete with a detailed strategy that can be seen played out over the past 20 years in America-by homosexual activists such as Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen in their “After the Ball” book.

Even if it wasn’t documented in a black-and-white manifesto, the homosexual agenda still exists and is clear to see. It is found in the agenda to normalize and promote homosexual behavior as healthy, moral and natural; it is found in the agenda to force culture to accept homosexual behavior as moral, normal and healthy; it is found in the agenda to force culture to celebrate and applaud this behavior; it is found in the agenda to force culture to allow homosexuals to counterfeit marriage and family.

It is none of these things, as science shows.

Anyone who claims there is no homosexual agenda is either profoundly ignorant (and I cannot believe any adult human being could be that ignorant in our current culture), or a flat-out lying propaganda artist.

Regarding divorce rates, like most pro-homosexual propaganda, a closer examination of the claims reveals shoddy “research” based based more on hope and hype than reliable information. Most of such claims don’t take into account declining marriage rates (understandable, since if marriage can mean anything, it means nothing, so why seek it out?). Such claims usually don’t take into consideration that only a handful of jurisdictions have been allowing homosexuals to counterfeit marriage, and have only been doing so for a handful of years-meaning that the number of years being measured (i.e. the number of married years providing opportunity for divorce) are much shorter for homosexual couples. In other words, you can’t legitimately compare a 10 or 20 year marriage ending in divorce, with a 1 or two year counterfeit marriage ending in a faux divorce.

Which brings us to a related topic which proves such claims don’t even pass the smell-test. A variety of studies in numerous countries over the past few decades reveals that homosexual relationships are consistently characterized by relatively brief duration, high rates of promiscuity, and high rates of anonymous sex. The average length of a homosexual relationship ranges from six months to a year and a half, with most homosexuals admitting to dozens and often hundreds of sex partners over their (shortened, by approx. 20 years, due to the health risks associated with homosexual behavior) lifetime, and monogamy almost unheard of in the homosexual community (with the exception of “creative” definitions of monogamy such as “If my partner knows about they others I’m screwing, that isn’t cheating”).

Sorry, faux “marriage” isn’t going to change that kind of reckless behavior, and it doesn’t.

And no, no legitimate study shows that children raised in homosexual homes do as well or better than children raised by their parents. That crap doesn’t even pass the smell test either, and closer examination reveals that such “studies” are based largely on what homosexual parent claim about the well-being of their children (do you really think, especially with all that’s riding on the illusion of normality, that homosexual parents are going to admit, “Yeah, my child is acting out, having trouble at school, not sleeping well, etc.”…or are they going to give glowing reports of how wonderfully their children are doing) and the coached answers from children themselves. The methodology here is based more, again, on hope and hype than on reliable, objective data. What do many adult children who grew up in homosexual homes say? A very different story, and it ain’t pretty. But then, self-serving narcissism at a child’s expense never is pretty.

You can’t counterfeit marriage and make a rational claim that it doesn’t devalue and harm the genuine article, any more than you can make a rational claim that counterfeiting the currency of a nation doesn’t devalue and harm the genuine article. Words and definitions mean things, and when you water those down so that something loses its uniqueness, it loses its meaning and value. You can pretend all you like, but there’s no cheating a fundamental law of logic and nature like that.

There is no doubt that the “house” of marriage and family needs to be cleaned from the damage heterosexuals have done to it. But don’t come defecating in that “house” and being hypocritical enough to whine about the dirt on the floor.

            • DCM7

“Many of the arguments made in this article resemble strongly what many religious groups in the South put forth against equal rights for other minorities”
Learn your history. It was non-Christians that fought the most against equal rights for (legitimate) minorities. Any Christians joining that fight certainly weren’t going by any Biblical basis.

      • Kofender

I am fully familiar with all provisions and amendments to the US Constitution and I certainly don’t need schooling by the likes of you. The words in the screed were intentionally hateful and deceiving, though you’re the one who can’t see it. I am not a member of your cult, so I don’t buy into your opinions about my “creator.” Nor do I believe in any kind of judgment day (I’m an existentialist and I’d prefer my rewards for leading a good life are during my time on this Earth).
So since you presume to know more than any of us peons, please cite any verse where your Jesus himself says gay activity is an “egregious perversion of his design for human sexuality.” (Please, spare us anything by Paul, who was a bit of a monster in his own right.)
I’ve sought the truth in this life and I’ve found the ones working best for me. I’m sorry you think my opinions are misguided, but you’ve never walked a mile in my shoes, so I’m not sure how you can come to this presumptuous conclusion.
The last thing I need is people like you, who are so full of themselves, they presume to tell me how I should live my life (and believe me, I’ve had plenty of people do just that, including some family members). I am not ashamed of who I am, what I think, or the journey I’ve taken in this life. But shame on you for thinking you know more about my life than I do. That is the height of hubris no matter how you look at it.
I’m not an anti-christian bigot (as you allege). Some of the best people I know (and love) are true christians. I would not count you or the author of this hate-filled nonsense as true christians. You use your brand of religion as a weapon to strike at people with whom you don’t agree. What a shame. I actually don’t hate people like you. I pity you.

        • WXRGina

You’re not going to last long here spitting that kind of deluded nonsense at us.

        • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Obviously you aren’t very familiar with the provisions and amendments to the U.S. Constitution, as I proved in our first interchange. You obviously think the First Amendment somehow mandates a secularist America where no trace of the Christian values that form the foundation of this nation can be seen. You could not possibly be more wrong.

You obviously aren’t a Christian, and that’s your choice. However, it’s equally obvious that you know so little about it that you aren’t even qualified to criticize it, much less adhere to it.

Though I have no doubt that this (like any evidence that offends the tender ears of radical Leftists) will fall on deaf ears (with the evidence of that already present, from your condemnation of the man who wrote most of the New Testament-the man who perhaps better than any recorded person followed Christ most closely), but since you asked, here are a few citations from God which prove that homosexual behavior is a perversion of his design for human sexuality:

          - Genesis 2:24 Where God outlined his design for human sexuality: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.”

          - Genesis 19 where men of Sodom wanted to have sex with the male angels, and it was called a “wicked thing”

          - Leviticus 18:22 “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.”

          - Leviticus 20:13 “‘If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable.”

          - Judges 19 In Gibeah where “wicked men” wanted to have sex with a Levite man, and it was called a “disgraceful thing”

          - Mark 10:6-8 Jesus reaffirms God’s design for human sexuality: “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one.”

          - Romans 1:26-27 where the Bible talks about “godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness” and says “Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”

          - 1 Corinthians 6:9 says, among other habitual sins, homosexuals “will not inherit the kingdom of God”

          - 1 Timothy 1:10 condemns “men who practice homosexuality”

I tell you what: if you don’t like people who know the truth telling you about the truth, don’t come to websites like this one where you will get the unadulterated truth. Go live in darkness and ignorance. And there are plenty of gutless “Christians” out there who are more afraid of what people think of them than what God thinks of them, who will tickle your ears and “love” you all the way into the burning flames of Hell.

Or you could choose to listen to people who care enough to tell you the truth, and get your life on the right path.

          The choice is yours…

          • Kofender

Congratulations. You have immediately lost ALL credibility by using the word “homosexual” when quoting from your bible. Here’s why. The word was not coined until the 1890s (a compound word with both Latin and Greek roots) and could not possibly have appeared in your bible. Obviously you are working from yet another mistranslation and misinterpretation. So why should I believe anything you have to say? But I digress.
You cite Leviticus and its instructions for the Levite priests attending to the Holy Temple in Jerusalem (of which only the Wailing Wall remains centuries later). But that same passage from Leviticus cites a number of abominations (all the dietary ones, shaving, no pierced ears, no tattoos, etc.). Of course my favorite one—which you are likely to have committed on numerous occasions—is the prohibition on mixed fabrics. How much polyester (by definition a mixed fabric) is in your closet? It’s all an abomination and in exceedingly BAD TASTE. J’accuse!

            • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Congratulations. It is YOU who lost what tiny shred of credibility you might have had with your asinine protestation about the word “homosexual”.

If you had the slightest clue about anything, you would understand that homosexual behavior has been around for thousands of years-vastly longer than the word “homosexual” has been in use. Do you really think no one knew what two men plugging each other in the anus was until about 100 years ago? Or that they had no way of communicating about that behavior with each other?

In case it escaped you (which, apparently, it did), the Bible often refers to homosexual behavior in descriptive terms that even stupid propaganda artists like yourself cannot possibly miss (i.e. a man lying with another man as one lie with a woman).

Your astonishing ignorance might also exclude the realization that the Bible has been translated from the original languages (Hebrew, Greek, Aramaic, etc.) into MODERN language using MODERN vernacular so that MODERN people can easily understand what the ancient writers meant (duh, even when words were different, even when, duh, entire languages were different).

And no, with still more blazing ignorance on parade, Leviticus wasn’t only for Levitical priests; it was for all the people.

And no, things that were considered an abomination to God weren’t only ritual and dietary issues. In fact, almost all of the things considered an abomination by God were behavioral things usually in conjunction with an attitude of rebellion against God’s moral standard.

              For example,

              Proverbs 6:16-19:

These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Or Proverbs 8:7 which says, “wickedness is an abomination to my lips,” or Proverbs 11:1 which says, “A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight,” or Proverbs 11:20 which says, “They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD,” or Proverbs 12:22 which says, “Lying lips are abomination to the LORD,” or Proverbs 15:9 which says, “The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD,” or Proverbs 15:26 which says, “The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD,” or Proverbs 16:5 which says, “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD,” or Proverbs 16:12 which says, “It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness,” or Proverbs 17:15 which says, “He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD,” or Proverbs 20:10 which says, “Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD,” or Proverbs 20:23 which says, “Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD,” or Jeremiah 32:35 which says (speaking of human sacrifice), “And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination,” or Ezekiel 22:11 which says, “And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour’s wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law.”

And let’s not forget that while God made it clear that under the New Covenant of Jesus Christ the ritual and dietary restrictions of the Old Covenant (intended to teach moral lessons) are no longer valid, the moral code remains in effect.

The only thing more unbelievable than the inane BS coming from you is the fact that I’m even trying to dialogue with you as if you were a rational human being who had the slightest interest in being loyal to facts and reality.

Please, do me and everyone else a favor: do at least a little research before you broadcast your amazing ignorance so loudly, and waste so much of everyone’s time that could be better spent reading an old grocery list than your list of nonsense.

        • DCM7

“I’ve sought the truth in this life and I’ve found the ones working best for me.”
If you’ve looked for what “works best for you,” then you haven’t really sought the truth. If the truth hasn’t challenged you to your core, you haven’t found it, or really been looking for it.
“you’ve never walked a mile in my shoes”
I may not have walked in your shoes per se, but I’d be willing to bet I’ve come closer than you think.
I do not consider a “gay” person worse than me; I’ve had ugly enough sins of my own, and they’ve been just as tough to walk away from as any. The main difference is, I admitted I had to walk away from them.

    • WXRGina

You truly appear to not realize how very much like a parrot you sound-copying verbatim other homosexual activist “talking points” (mentioned in the column) in your false, baseless accusations of “hate.” The truth is wrongly perceived as “hate” by those who hate the truth. You prove this nicely.

      • Kofender

The truth? Really? I stand by my contention (which is not parroting anyone but rather my true feelings); this is hate speech at it worst masquerading as “religious” nonsense. So far as what’s true, well, we all have truths. Yours aren’t the same as mine (obviously). You think it’s A-OK to spew venom about a whole population. I don’t. I admire TRUE christians who actually follow what Jesus said. This column is anything but following what Jesus said. Indeed, I can’t recall a single thing Jesus himself (not Paul) said about the gay folks. Not one word on the subject. Yet this hate-monger (and yes, he’s definitely that) seems to presume he has the right to say what Jesus thought. Well, that is hubris to the highest degree. And you, Gina, are just as presumptuous in assuming I’m parroting anyone else. But actually, what was said in this screed isn’t truth; it’s just this guy’s wretched opinion. The LGBT community doesn’t hate so-called christians (and certainly not true christians). The LGBT community is simply asking to have the same rights as everyone else. Who the heck are you to feel so superior to the rest of the world you can blithely deny ANYONE their civil rights? Really, who are you?

        • WXRGina

You have no rational perception. My simply telling the truth about the immoral, unhealthy, unnatural nature of homosexuality and the fact that there is no such thing as same-sex “marriage” is not “hate speech.” That’s the big lie you people are too blind to see. Your Biblical ignorance does not change the fact that the entire Bible IS the Word of Jesus. You don’t understand this.

        • DCM7

“The LGBT community doesn’t hate so-called Christians”
I have certainly seen much of the opposite of this claim demonstrated.
“The LGBT community is simply asking to have the same rights as everyone else”
That is exactly what they’re asking NOT to have, because everyone else doesn’t have (or, generally, want) the “right” to marry someone of the wrong sex (or multiple partners, a child, or too close of a relative).

    • DCM7

It’s interesting to note that you hardly even attempt to actually *counter* a single thing she’s said. But that’s pretty typical.

“you appear to have nothing but hatred for the gay folks in your heart, which certainly distances you from your Jesus, who only offered love”
The kind of “love” you talk of has nothing to do with Jesus’ love, and is of no value to anyone. For example, your kind of “love” would have encouraged the two “gay” men I knew the best to keep living the life they lived — a life which killed them on the inside first, then physically while they were still young.

    • Thisoldspouse

Once again, an ignorant, godless non-Christian attempting to lecture Christians on what they believe. What is THAT about?

    • Thisoldspouse

So, whose “rantings and ravings” are our laws dicated by?

  • franklinb23

Gina asks: “After all, if same-sex “marriage” is the law of the land, then what “right” do church leaders have to refuse to accommodate these sodomites who want to be “married” in the church?”

The same right that pastors have who refuse to accommodate interfaith couples, couples who have been previously married and divorced or couples who are living together.

It happens all the time. Orthodox Christian churches only allow a certain number of remarriages. Some Christian churches will not marry a Christian and a Jew or perhaps a couple with recent criminal histories. None of these couples can legally be denied a *ciil marriage* license, though.

Sure, there might be a few nuts out there who think the state has the ability and right to demand church rituals be performed against its will, but by and large, most don’t.

    • Thisoldspouse

It’s already happening in the U.K. and in Finland, countries that Leftists in the U.S. ardently want to emulate.

      • franklinb23

Possibly … but their Constitution isn’t the same as here. Those who wish to live according to the laws of the UK and Finland can move there.

        • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Unfortunately, radical homosexual activists loathe our Constitution and seek to ignore it where they can’t overturn it.

    • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Without getting into the fraud involved and the damage this will do to our society, it would be better if it stopped at forcing Christians to violate their consciences and Biblical requirements on morality.

But it has been made abundantly clear that the homosexual agenda will not stop there. Not even close. The homosexual agenda will not be even remotely satisfied until EVERYONE is made to render obeisance to the supposed normality and acceptability of this behavior.

No, Christians will be MADE to play along. In fact, they already ARE.

  • franklinb23

“We’re already part-way there with unconstitutional “hate crimes” laws that apply unequal protection of the law, deeming some crime victims more worthy than others of their Orwellian protection.”

So I take it you also oppose hate crimes laws when they’re applied to Christians, Muslims or any other “group”, correct?

Hate crimes laws apply only to violent crimes, not speech. Daniel Carver of the Klu Klux Klan has operated a 1-900 number where he rails against what he calls “filthy n*****s”. No one’s even tried to charge him with a thing.

Further, the intent of hate crimes laws is to differentiate crimes of personal gain or those committed out of passion from those where a stranger is targeted for some defining characteristic. The latter are seen as a greater threat to social order. I’m not saying that’s necessarily true, but that’s the intent.

    • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

“Hate crimes” are idiocy at best, and nothing more than an attempt to play “thought police,” i.e. regulating what people think or believe.

In reality, the term “hate crime” is silly. Are there any “love crimes”? Does anyone do harm to another human being out of love to them? Or even ambivalence?

How is more harm somehow done because you assault someone because you don’t like a particular (state-approved) thing about them, than if you assaulted them simply because they got in your way? The pain is the same, the damage is the same, the wrong is the same.

No, as I said, “hate crimes” are an attempt to regulate by force thought, feeling and opinion-something the state has no business doing in any society that even remotely wants to call itself “free.”

    • Thisoldspouse

“Hate crime” laws play favorites, and that is a repudiation of the equal protection guaranteed by the Constitution. Besides, they are NOT applied consistently to benefit Christians because they were never intended to.

Only narrowly defined groups are covered under these insane regulations. that makes anyone else chopped liver.

  • franklinb23

One final thing: in my discussions with some of the commenters on JMG’s blog and other gay activists, most are consistent in terms of what they believe the rights of any business owner are.

That is: no one can be forced to change the nature of their service, but they must provide those services to everyone. If the AFA asked a gay caterer to cater some “pro-traditional marriage” meeting, the caterer would not be legally free to decline. However, you can’t force a caterer to only provide a kosher or halal menu if none of those are available as options.

On the flip side, most of those who favor the rights of business owners are consistent in believing that this should be applied even if it works to the detriment of Christians. That is, if I’m a small business owner, I can decline services to you because you’re gay or black or Christian.

There are valid arguments for both positions. The question can probably only be answered by asking who is caused more “harm”. Perhaps it depends on the location, the nature of the service being provided as well as other considerations.

These are worthy discussions, but you’re not going to have much of a conversation when you portray these issues as black/white, good vs evil and all opposition as degenerate zombies from hell.

    • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

I’m not sure who this JMG is, but those people are wrong.

No one has the right to force anyone to do anything that violates their conscience. This is contrary to our rights under Natural Law, and is contrary to the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Forcing a Christian to participate in the counterfeiting of marriage is as unconscionable as forcing a Jewish or Muslim businessman to sell pork…or forcing a homosexual businessman to bake a pro-marriage cake.

It really is a black and white issue. It only becomes “complicated” when immoral people seek to force others into participating in their immorality while finding a way to call the immoral behavior “moral.”

  • Lester Oliver

This Gina Miller person is a piece of work! I only came here because Right WIng Watch features her with great regularity due to the outrageous ignorance and hate that she vomits forth ( in the name of “god”). Hey GIna, MANY Americans have absolutely NO desire to be ruled over by a bunch of silly 2000 year old myths, scratched onto stinking goat hides by a group of ignorant iron-age peasants huddled around some camel dung fire pit in the sand. Please keep your flaccid “jesus” dangling limp between his crossed sticks OUT of our schools, courts and bedrooms. Oh and have a great day! “”Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear.” Thomas Jefferson.

    • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

About 80% of Americans still call themselves Christians (despite several decades of secularist propaganda), so it would stand to reason that the vast majority of Americans still hold allegiance to those 2,000 year old principles of truth that you loathe so much-the principles that founded this great nation and made it great.

Please, keep your sodomy OUT of our schools, courts, televisions and everywhere else. If you insist on buggering one another, have it it; you can live with the consequences.

But you are not entitled to drag down the innocent and the greatest nation in history into the gutter with you.

God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever. - Thomas Jefferson

  • jean_luc_turbo

I love how the writer has it all 100% figured out correctly…where’s the parade to honor this statistically impossible feat?

    • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

Actually the writer doesn’t have it 100% figured out.

To be sure, she analyzed the problem and its cause with 100% accuracy, but the real question is how to motivate good Americans to put a halt to the war on freedom and normalcy, as well as how to motivate those perpetrating the wrong to stop doing evil and start behaving correctly.

For that, there are no easy answers, since it is the way of humanity to gravitate toward evil and to be lazy about fighting evil.

      • Maezeppa

Yes, indeed. I’m also a “blind devotee” of theory of heliocentrism, germ theory,
theory of gravity, cell theory, atomic theory, special relativity theory, and plate
tectonic theory because, you know, scientists, who demand and require rigorous
testing and review, all suddenly become “blind devotees” of magic when it comes
to the theory of evolution. I’m hypothesizing you don’t realize how idiotic that sounds.

    • WXRGina

I love how you toss that ridiculous statement out there without even the barest attempt to debunk a single point in the column.
