Defend Christian Business, Make Liberal Heads Explode

Want to see a liberal’s head explode?  Rush Limbaugh has a great idea for both this, and for dealing with Leftist homosexual tyranny that seeks to force Christian businesses to violate their consciences and surrender their religious liberty to render goods and services for counterfeit weddings.

Any of you small business owners who think you’re gonna get a visit from a gay couple asking you for your product or service at a gay wedding just say, “Nah, nah, nah, we refuse because of our respect of Islam.  We can’t.”  Don’t say anything about your religion.  Don’t say anything about it’s your religion that prevents you from doing it.  Say it’s Islam.

Muslim_wedding_cakeIf you’re not that familiar with liberalism, you might be asking yourself, “Why would this cause a liberal’s head to explode?” Think about it. It has to do with competing liberal priorities.

When it comes to radical Islam, the “mainstream” media is too gutless to dare even hint at criticism of this bloodthirsty ideology.  In fact, they’ll even defend it. It is therefore logical to assume that Islam can do no wrong.  Lest you doubt me, remember that while the “mainstream” media goes out of its way to target, smear and hammer Christian businesses for refusing to toe the liberal line, the “mainstream” media is unphased by the hypocrisy of the Left, and we only hear the “cricket chorus” when a Muslim business takes the same position.

Which brings us to that other competing liberal priority: pushing the homosexual agenda. If nothing else, recent events have illustrated beyond any shred of a shadow of a doubt that one of the Left’s highest priorities is to advance the homosexual agenda–at the expense of property rights, at the expense of religious liberty, at the expense of the right of conscience, at the expense of common sense, at the expense of state constitutions, and at the expense of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

So what happens when you have two competing liberal priorities come head to head?  The Left must defend Islam…but the Left must defend the homosexual agenda.

So Rush’s idea is a really great one. Sure, by all means, stand on principle for what’s right. But if you don’t have the time and money to risk your business against well-funded government-sponsored Leftist tyranny, just decline participating in the counterfeiting of a wedding by saying you can’t do it because of your deep respect for Islam.

And you get to see a liberal head explode at the same time.

Talk about win-win…

    I don’t know where this idea came from that gays support totalitarian Islam. Some of us oppose unjustly treating all Muslims as terrorists and being overeager about initiating a religious war with them, that’s all.

    However, we’re quite willing to point out that ISIS has killed suspected homosexuals and that Islamic sharia law persecutes gay men and women on a global basis. Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran are not on our list of vacation “hot spots”, I can assure you.

    If it’s really going to bug you to have to bake a cake for a gay wedding, tell them you’ll do it but will donate all profits from it to the American Family Association or the Family Research Council. They’ll find somewhere else.

    By the way, I’m not sure Rush should be getting too self-righteous about the marriage thing (considering he’s on his fourth). As they say, “People who live in glass houses … “

      I don’t think there ever was an idea that homosexuals support totalitarian Islam.

      Actually, this is more a statement about the Left in general than about homosexual activists in particular. I thought that was pretty clear.

      You’d have to be hiding under a rock or in complete denial to have missed the hypocrisy and dichotomy from the Left these days: On one hand, the Left religiously refuses to say the slightest negative thing about radical Islam (case in point, even when radical Islamists violently attack a group of conservatives exercising free speech, it is the FREE SPEECH that is blamed)…even though nowhere in the world is homosexual behavior truly not tolerated, to the point of institutional physical punishment of homosexual behavior-including throwing homosexuals off buildings, etc. Yet nary a negative peep from the Left about Islam; too worried about Christian businesses exercising their First Amendment-protected religious liberty and property rights to bother speaking out against Islamic treatment of homosexuals. Maybe you have some special ear to the ground that I, reading and listening to dozens of news articles and outlets every day, have not been privy to.

      But even that isn’t the primary point of Limbaugh’s idea and this article. The point is that for a Christian business to claim “respect for Islam” as the reason for not baking a counterfeit wedding cake brings to oppositional Leftist ideals into stark conflict with one another.

      Ideal #1: Islam must be respected at all costs, with no criticism of this religion, its doctrines or the actions of its adherents. And don’t say that isn’t a liberal ideal because we’ve seen it played out by the Left a bazillion times in the past decade or more, with the latest and perhaps most egregious example in Garland, TX. (Well, maybe even that one is topped by the charge that a Catholic university isn’t being nice to Muslims by having too many crosses on campus http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/05/11/catholic-university-investigated-for-offending-muslims-by-having-too-many-crosses/ . Jeepers, how big of a doormat (to Islam) can liberals really make themselves?

      Ideal #2. Force Christians at all costs to affirm homosexual behavior and the homosexual agenda, even at the cost of property rights and First Amendment protections of religious liberty.

      If a Leftist tries to uphold both of these when a Christian business cites “respect for Islam” (since Islam-like pretty much every religion in the world-recognizes homosexual behavior is immoral), the Leftist is left with a conflict, a quandary . If they accept the “respect for Islam” justification, they cannot carry out #2. If they pursue #2, they violate #1.

      In a way, it’s akin to the “Can God make a rock so big even he can’t pick it up” attempt at a paradox-only in this case, it presents a quandary that causes a liberal to offend one Leftist imperative in order to pursue the other. Thus the cranial explosion.

      Me, I’d prefer the simple “I’m a free property owner whose religious liberty is protected by the First Amendment” justification, but understanding that we don’t all have huge amounts of money and time with which to resist Leftist tyranny, “I’d love to, but it would offend Islam” is a good backup, since it would be so much fun to see that liberal head explode. “I’ll donate your money to AFA” isn’t a terrible backup, but it’s a little wimpy for my tastes.

      And no, Rush Limbaugh is far from perfect in many respects, including his multiple marriages. But at least he didn’t attempt to counterfeit marriage. It’s one thing to mutilate something valuable, and quite another to attempt to pass off a fake as something genuine.

    It seems like the ultra-intolerant characteristics of Islam can become a get-out-of-jail-free-card for anyone, who is asked to do anything that might be construed as a violation of Sharia law!

    “What you want is offensive to Islamics! Please leave now! I don’t want ISIS attacking my store”! :)

    It’s like Every-man’s race card.. LOL!
