Family Research Council (FRC) today voiced disappointment with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s decision to sign into law Assembly Bill 3371, which forbids licensed professional counselors in the state to “engage in sexual orientation change efforts with a person under 18 years of age.”

We’ve seen it over and over: GOP establishment fatcats who aren’t content to just promote liberal positions from within the Republican Party, but feel compelled to go the extra mile and undermine conservatives and conservative efforts. Ken Cuccinelli is the latest conservative to have Republicans abandon him in favor of a liberal Democrat. Why do these people even bother calling themselves “Republicans?”

Momentum against Obamacare continues to accelerate, but somehow House leadership seem to be the only ones who don’t get that defunding the law is the only chance to stop it from going into effect. In spite of major private sector unions like the Teamsters and even the public employee union that represents Internal Revenue Service employees blasting the law, the House leadership is unmoved.

The Constitution, not the President or Congress, is the final arbiter of what’s permissible and what’s not. This is what makes the NSA scandal so problematic, and it is notable that the government’s overreach in this area is drawing criticism from both sides of the political aisle.

“Overpasses for Obama’s Impeachment” is a growing, nationwide movement, an eruption of patriot outrage, that is getting larger and larger as our “representatives” in Washington continue to ignore our demands for a redress of grievances against the treasonous criminal Obama and his gang of fellow hoodlums in power who are systematically tearing down our once-free Republic.

According to Associated Press reports, “California has become the first state to enshrine certain rights for transgender K-12 students in state law, requiring public schools to allow those students access to whichever restroom and locker room they want.” Additionally, The new law gives students the right “to participate in sex-segregated programs, activities and facilities based on their self-perception and regardless of their birth gender”.

We now find ourselves operating in a strange paradigm where the government not only views the citizenry as suspects but treats them as suspects, as well. Thus, the news that the National Security Agency (NSA) is routinely operating outside of the law and overstepping its legal authority by carrying out surveillance on American citizens is not really much of a surprise. This is what happens when you give the government broad powers and allow government agencies to routinely sidestep the Constitution.
