It is absolutely astounding to me that if the average American were to stand in front of an apple tree and were then told by these politicians (diplomatic magicians) that it were an orange tree, they would be sure to fall in line and agree with them. This is exactly what is happening when we listen to their words, but their actions reflect the actual fruit seen hanging on their tree.

Doubts about Marco Rubio began in 2013, when he joined with seven other senators (three other Republicans and four liberal Democrats) to form the “Gang of Eight,” who crafted immigration reform legislation that would grant amnesty to illegal immigrants.

A 1954 Eisenhower deportation program in Border States proved that something could in fact be done to address illegal immigration. The Eisenhower approach came about after more than a million estimated migrant workers had crossed into the U.S. illegally in the prior decade as the U.S.-Mexico Bracero guest worker program was being implemented and then fell apart at the seams.

Have you ever heard people say that a genuine conservative is “unelectable”? If you’ve ever been around RINOs, I’m sure you have. The only “unelectable” Republican is the one you think can’t be elected and thus won’t support.

We are simply repeating the mistakes of 2008 and 2012. We chose to believe a campaign slogan that was an undefined promise of something we all felt we needed: change. We hooked on to a pop-culture figure that promised us the moon and the stars and we would not be deterred. Almost eight years later we see that it is a smoldering heap of broken promises, lies and the deepest trek into immorality both we and our forefathers could have ever imagined.

As much as I hate to say it, I think it’s now time to remove Dr. Ben Carson from consideration for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. Promoting amnesty is a deal-breaker for me because it is so wrong on so many levels.

Looking at the rationale the president used to justify his politically motivated decision to kill the Keystone XL pipeline project raises the question, “Why do so many working-class Americans, and in particular low-income Americans, continue to support big-government Democrats, who are more interested in their left-wing agendas than creating jobs and prosperity in America?”

Heritage Action, the activism arm of the Heritage Foundation, has prepared a presidential platform review, and as you might expect, Senator Ted Cruz did exceedingly well.

Ben Carson says all the right things when it comes to opposing the homosexual agenda. But his record while serving on the boards of Costco Wholesale and food manufacturer Kellogg seem to tell a different story. Saying the right thing is important. But doing the right thing is vastly more important.

This upcoming election, perhaps more than ever, is a battle for America’s soul and future. Are we going to be a left-wing socialist nation or a free nation under God? Democrats are clear and settled with who they are. Now Republicans must pick the candidate that will crystallize what it means to be a free nation under God.
