Chief Justice Roy Moore and Judicial Idolatry

judge_roy_moore_ethics_trialOur good friend and Christian patriot Chief Justice Roy Moore of the Alabama Supreme Court was suspended from office on Friday by what I can only characterize as a kangaroo court.

One of the six judicial canons of ethics filed against Chief Justice was that he violated “Canon 2B, in that he failed to avoid conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice that brings the judicial office into disrepute.” Wow! Here we have the courts in America claiming to overthrow the Almighty God seated upon His throne in heaven, then acting to trample in the dust God’s Holy Law regarding marriage and family government, in addition to overturning 6000 years of human history and tradition, not to mention exalting the most wicked of abominations, and they are worried about bringing the judicial office into disrepute!

The actions of Chief Justice Roy Moore to stand for God’s Holy institution of marriage gives the judicial office respect the opposite of what the rest of the courts in America are doing.

Moore issued this statement:

“This decision clearly reflects the corrupt nature of our political and legal system at the highest level.

After the Attorney General of Alabama declined to prosecute this case, the JIC employed the former legal director of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) which filed the charges against me, at a cost of up to $75,000.00 to the taxpayers of Alabama.

Woodrow Wilcox

During the trial which lasted approximately four hours, the JIC produced no witnesses, no affidavits, and no evidence to meet their burden of proving by ‘clear and convincing’ evidence that the Administrative order of January 6, 2016 violated the Canons of Judicial Ethics.

This was a politically motivated effort by radical homosexual and transgender groups to remove me as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court because of outspoken opposition to their immoral agenda.

This opinion violates not only the legal standards of evidence but also the rule of law which states that no judge can be removed from office except by unanimous vote.”[1]

So because Judge Roy Moore acted upon the true rule of law, upholding his oath to the U.S. Constitution as well as the Alabama State Constitution, he was suspended from office by unanimous vote of the nine of the Court of the Judiciary. What the court failed to uphold is the rule of law. The Supreme Court did not overturn the marriage laws of Alabama.

First, because the Creator God established the law of marriage and no wicked tyrant in a black robe can change that.

Second anyone who knows even the most basic facts about our civil government structure knows that the judicial branch cannot and does not make law; “all legislative power” rests in the Legislature not the Supreme Court or any court.

Third, even if the Supreme Court opinion in Obergefell had any effect on anyone, it would only be to those parties who came into court and no one else. The State of Alabama was not party to that case, therefore Obergefell had no force in Alabama.

Instead, the Constitution of Alabama rules, which says marriage is only between a man and a woman in Alabama.

Furthermore, the supreme law of the land is the U.S. Constitution. The only powers we the people have granted to the federal government are those limited, delegated, enumerated powers stated in the Constitution itself. Nowhere in that document do we the people grant the federal government any power over the issue of marriage? Nowhere! Therefore, the 9th and 10th Amendments apply, leaving all the region of marriage to reside with the state governments. So the federal government has no jurisdiction whatsoever over the issue of marriage.

Thus, Obergefell is nothing short of a fraud. What is being claimed that the Supreme Court can make law is a lie. The supposition that any decision of the Supreme Court applies to all states is nothing short of tyranny. The reality that so many American’s believe these lies, this fraud, and the tyranny reveals the new American idol: the Supreme Court is god.

It appears all the media bows to this idol, nearly all the office holders throughout the land also bow to this new idol and quite apparently any office holders who refuse to bow to this golden calf will be run out of office. So what we have in American now is judges worshipping themselves – judicial idiolatry. Now the spell checker doesn’t recognize this word, but you can find it in the 20 volume Oxford English Dictionary, where idiolatry is defined as self worship.[2] Judicial idiolatry is judges worshiping themselves as god. Now, what should we think of someone who worships themselves, thinking they are god? The kindest thing we could say is that they are delusional, and in need of a good dose of reality. But it is quite clear we would not be wise to allow any such delusional individual any where near the levers of power in society. Instead, today in America, nearly every position of power is in the hands of the delusional. Lunatics are running the country.

Now one of the great ironies of Friday’s suspension was the unanimous vote, which means the Chief Judge J. Michael Joiner also voted to suspend the Chief Justice.

Who is Chief Judge J. Michael Joiner? He is an active member of The Church at Brookhills of Birmingham (a mega church) where he teaches a Bible study class on Sunday mornings at 11am. He previously served as Deacon of The Church at Brookhills as well as Chairman of the Shelby Baptist Association Credentials Committee (which means he was engaged in examining and approving the orthodoxy of pastors in the Southern Baptist church).

What Brookhills believes about the Bible is orthodox, “The Holy Bible was written by men divinely inspired and is God’s revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. Therefore, all Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us, and therefore is, and will remain to the end of the world, the true center of Christian union, and the supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and religious opinions should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.”

So a man in a black robe who claims to believe those things, who is an important part of the leadership of a church that claims to believe those things about the Bible voted to suspend the Chief Justice for taking a proper, legal, constitutional and Biblical stand against sodomite unmarriage. Will The Church at Brookhills discipline this leader of their church? I wouldn’t hold your breath on that.

Chief Justice Roy Moore rightly stated, ”If we sit back and let the federal courts intrude their powers into state sovereignty, then we’re neglecting everything about which the Constitution stands.” This makes the real point here, the tyranny of Washington, D.C. an entity itself which does not follow the Supreme Law of the Land.

What is happening in America is a gross abomination, indeed it is a wholesale redefinition of sin. It is claimed that a wicked abomination is actually equivalent to God’s Holy institution of marriage. And it is believed that America can somehow get away with gross immorality and with this gross idolatry. Can we escape judgment? Turn to Exodus 32:30. You’ll recall Israel was engaged in a parallel set of sins, the window dressing was different but essential the same sins of idolatry and immorality.
