Vietnam F-4 Fighter Pilot to Speak at Air and Space Museum

Ed McGaa
Retired USMC MAJ Ed McGaa, a Korean war veteran who flew 110 combat missions in F-4B Phantom fighters in Vietnam, will talk about his new book on global terrorism on Saturday, September 10, at Ellsworth Air Force Base’s South Dakota Air and Space Museum, starting at 9 am. The free event entitled “A Warrior’s Perspective on Terrorism” is sponsored by the Black Hills Veterans Writing Group.
McGaa will also draw from his published books on fellow Oglala Lakota holy man Black Elk to explore the differences between spirituality and religious fanaticism. The West is, after all, fighting a terrorism that sees itself in religious terms.
