The Republican National Convention gives a homosexual, boasting openly of his aberrant sexual behavior and claiming the culture war the Left is waging against our country is fake, a standing ovation at the 2016 Republican convention?

No wonder Donald Trump, a Democrat with an “R” after his name, is the Republican nominee for president in 2016. The Republican Party is now officially morally bankrupt and adrift from objective truth.

The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)

    State what you say here on some “conservative” websites, Bob, and you will be treated much worse than many liberals treat us. I’ve effectively been banned from some of them.

    • You should see some of the Facebook and IM exchanges I’ve had in the past few months-and this week-with people I once thought were solid conservatives. It’s like I’ve stepped into an alternate universe where some people who call themselves conservatives behave like cultish Obama zombies.

      I used to have a hard time understanding where the Bible indicates almost the entire world will give in to deception near the end. Sadly, I no longer have a hard time accepting how that could happen-I’m witnessing some form of the phenomenon right now.

        Yes, we conservatives now know exactly how Young Goodman Brown felt in Hawthorne’s short story.

        I’ve even heard many so-called conservatives now echo the words of a deranged former Speaker: “we have to elect him to find out what is in him.”

      • You should see the exchanges between Bernie and Hillary supporters. It’s almost as venomous.

        This really is all very surreal. I understand being passionate about politics, but I feel like people are being swept up in some sort of cultural hysteria. The capacity for mob violence on both sides seems very real at this point.

    I am 55 years old and have been following “politics” since I was about 12 years old. My first vote was for Ronald Reagan in 1980 but I was reading about and following the 1976 election that Jimmy Carter won.

    I would have thought nothing would surprise me by now; This election has been “surprising”. In some ways I was glad to see “the chosen one” Jeb bite the dust; however even the 1980 election on Ronald Reagan can’t hold a lite to this election.

    The Trump supporters on “conservative” web sites I have been reading for YEARS are just unbelievable. Like Bob said; People who were KNOWN DIE HARD conservatives just “morphed” into these Trump CULTIST. I really don’t know what to say. I can tell you without a doubt that true “conservatives” are just a remnant now. I expect the “remnant” of true Christians and the “Remnant” of true Conservatives are very nearly the same people.
    I expect Trump to be elected and expect some SERIOUS disappointment will descend upon these people.

    I used to say “God Bless us” these days I say God HELP us!
