Mulally Standing for Republican Principles

One of the Republicans running for the South Dakota Senate from my district, District 35, is Tina Mulally.

Below is a mailer Tina sent out recently which details some of the things for which she stands.

One of the areas in which she stands out from her RINO opponent Terri Haverly is that Mulally supports concealed carry without the requirement of a permit–just exercising your Second Amendment right without an additional blessing of government.

As you can see from the South Dakota Gun Owners mailer below, Mulally has that group’s endorsement as being the most reliable defender of the right to keep and bear arms. Unlike the National Rifle Association (NRA), which has a bad habit of endorsing any incumbent unless the incumbent is a complete dirtbag on the Second Amendment, South Dakota Gun Owners bases its endorsement on the actual behavior of the candidate.

The 2016 American Clarion Legislative Scorecard scored Haverly at 63% (considerably below Ronald Reagan’s 80% standard), with liberal votes on things like taxpayer funded health care for pregnant illegal aliens, tax breaks for green energy boondoggles, the education tax increase, drug testing for welfare recipients, and more.

Last year, Haverly also voted against rescinding the South Dakota High School Activities Association (SDHSAA) pro-transgender policy.

We have far too many “Republicans” in the South Dakota Legislature who claim to be a Republican, but vote like Democrats too often.

I think Tina Mulally deserves a chance to show District 35 and the state of South Dakota how a Republican is supposed to behave.
