Media Slant ALWAYS Favors the Left

Dept_of_PropagandaHave you ever wondered why conservatism is usually on the losing end of most policy issues these days?

Well, the fact that the conservative party of record (the Republican Party) is infested with liberals, and the fact that the majority of people on the Right are either too afraid to speak up or couldn’t critically think their way out of a wet paper bag…these facts aside, it really doesn’t help that virtually ALL of the media (including outlets we once thought “fair and balanced” or even conservative) slants the argument from the Left to favor the Left.

A case in point is Mississippi’s passage of HB 1532, entitled the “Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act.”  Why was it called the “Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act” by its sponsors?  Because that’s what it’s designed to do: protect freedom of conscience from attacks by government discrimination against freedom of conscience.

Why did the sponsors of HB 1532 consider it necessary?  Because freedom of conscience and religious liberty (once protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and most state constitutions–protections that have NOT been repealed, incidentally) are under relentless, vicious and growing attack in this country that was founded by religious people seeking religious liberty.  From assaults on religious liberty via ObamaCare (seeking to force Christians to support abortion and/or contraception that may violate their conscience), to the multiple attacks on religious liberty in the form of forcing Christians to participate in immoral homosexual activities that violate their conscience, America is fast becoming a place that no longer protects religious liberty but instead forces people to condone and support politically-approved immoral acts. The list of victims of government oppression and discrimination in support of homosexual behavior is growing, including but not limited to Barronelle Stutzman, Melissa and Aaron Klein, Jack Phillips, Donald and Evelyn Knapp, Robert and Cynthia Gifford, Jim and Beth Walder, Richard and Betty Odgaard, and many more.

So how does “fair and balanced” aka “conservative” Fox News report on the passage of the Protecting Freedom of Conscience from Government Discrimination Act? By calling it a “law allowing service denial to gay people.

No, it isn’t a law to protect religious liberty from being crushed under the heel of government-wielding homosexual activists. Oh no. It’s a “law allowing service denial to gay people.”

Notice how quickly (and easily, for the average low-information, unthinking public) the Leftist media turns things on their head?  Notice how deftly liberal propaganda artists turn a defense against liberal attack into an offensive weapon to be used to beat conservatives over the head and paint them as the bad guys?

As long as the conservative party of record (i.e. the Republican Party) is filled with liberal infiltrators who promote liberalism and fight conservatism, and as long as most conservatives lack the courage to speak up for what is right and/or lack the philosophical competence to counter the propaganda of the Left, and as long as good people allow the media to get away with deception like this Fox News headline, what is good and right and true will continue to be on the retreat.

We have that “harmless as doves” part down to a science; now we desperately need to work on the “wise as serpents” part. Because you can (and are) bet your freedom (and your children’s freedom) that the Left is going to be max crafty.

“law allowing service denial to gay people”

I happened to see almost exactly that headline on Yahoo news shortly after seeing this story.

And to think people are swallowing this malarkey. Truly, getting information from “mainstream” media = being massively ignorant.
