Trump Embraced by the Washington Cartel

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)
“Ted Cruz has fought the Washington Establishment every day he’s been in the Senate while just a couple of years ago Donald Trump was donating to them.” – Rush Limbaugh
A caller called out Rush Limbaugh today for not consistently defending Ted Cruz who has been blindly deemed a ‘LIAR’ by the mainstream media and even some fellow conservatives.
Did Mr. Limbaugh become defensive in his response to such criticism?
Quite the contrary, Limbaugh ultimately responded thus…
“Ted Cruz is feared MORE than Donald Trump”
Let’s face it, the voting public wants an anti-PC candidate, and Trump is their messiah. But let’s not be fooled by the idea that Trump will defy the political establishment. Trump may very well be one of them. And if Trump is merely an establishment candidate in disguise, we will all ultimately lose, regardless…
“In private, some veteran conservative Republicans have been reaching out to Trump. And Trump himself called the ultimate establishment figure in Washington, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, for a talk late last year.”
Ted Cruz, on the other hand, is a conservative ideologue who has called out the GOP repeatedly for stabbing their constituency in the back. If he was, in fact, part of the establishment, there is no way he does that.
Cruz is smart and principled, and in this day and age, it is shocking to see a man publicly call out his own party the way he has so candidly and impressively done. Actually, it’s unheard of. Trump, on the other hand, makes deals, which is exactly what we don’t want.
Call me crazy, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Mitt Romney’s recent random attack against Trump has been coordinated so that people will have even more motivation to back the perceived anti-establishment maverick and turn the page on Cruz all together.
We are letting a golden opportunity pass us by. Ted Cruz has and will stand on faith and principle. He has defied the establishment and held them accountable time and time again. What more does anyone want?
The good senator also seems to be a sincere Christian. He’s certainly not sinless, nor fully sanctified, but there’s no doubting his sincerity. What else must we demand of him before we lend our support?
The choice is ours. The candidate that will fight the political status-quo or the one that will make deals with them behind closed doors. In the end, we will get what we deserve.
