Over Trump for the GOP Nomination

I’m a little disappointed in a few folks! The stands that Cruz has taken for our people and our country… well, let’s just say, he didn’t have to do it.

It would have been easier not to. The only other guy that has actually walked the walk in real-time in the belly of the Washington beast is Rand Paul. You can have your Donald Trumps and your Marco Rubios, I won’t begrudge.

I guess we all have our reasons. In the end, we will get who we deserve.

For the record, I would reluctantly vote Trump if he were the nominee; but I prefer to support and ultimately go with the guy who earned my trust. He is a ‘once in a lifetime’ in politics. He is probably our last shot to get as close to a true Constitutional conservative in office. He’s not perfect; heck, he’s barely a NBC… but he’s my guy!

I do concede, however, that Trump is in a different category than the usual suspects (i.e. Rubio, Bush, Christie). These RINOs have proven that they would sell us out in a heartbeat. While Trump seems to sincerely want to make America great again, and he is not beholden to the Establishment. I hope his values will continue to evolve in a more conservative direction. He is at least for the Christian business owner as far as I can tell. But ultimately I’d prefer the proven commodity over what may very well be just a cheap imitation.

If Donald Trump is not the real deal, he will implode. Ted Cruz and his supporters will press him in a way he’s never known. Trump will either stand for something or he will fall…
