What’s to Blame for Ted Cruz’s ‘Likability Problem’?

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX)
Have you heard that Texas Senator Cruz–despite being one of the most positive, genteel and optimistic people in Washington–isn’t likable, is mean, and can’t win the presidency?
When you stop and think about it, isn’t that what you’ve heard the same suspects tell you about every conservative there ever was?
If there’s a “likability” problem afflicting Ted Cruz, what’s to blame? Someone knows.
From Amanda Carpenter’s Conservative Review column:
the problem isn’t with Ted; it’s with the Washington cabal that erupts with fury each time Ted refuses to play along with their clubby parlor games.
DC Republicans couldn’t attack Cruz on the issues–he was usually fighting to advance conservative causes they themselves claimed to care about–so they attacked his personality again and again and again. The first attacks started with John McCain’s decision to label Cruz and other conservative rabble rousers “wacko birds” shortly after Cruz arrived in the Capitol.
Yep, that pretty much nails it….and the rest of the column finishes the job.
Conservatives, please, please, PLEASE don’t (yet again) allow the “mainstream” media and other Leftists to pick your candidate for you! That includes the Leftists in the Republican Party we know as RINOs.
They don’t want a conservative to win! What ever made you think for a nanosecond that an out-of-the-closet Democrat, a “mainstream” media reporter, or a liberal-loving RINO would be honest with you about the acceptability or the chances of a real conservative?
Of course these libs are going to tell you that a genuine conservative is “unlikable,” “unpopular,” “mean,” “isn’t electable” and “can’t win.” That’s because they don’t want a genuine conservative to be any of those things! And they want you to buy it, too, and make it a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The only “likability” problem Ted Cruz has is with radical Leftists who loathe American principles, “Republicans” who share those same sentiments from the closet or are too gutless to defend their own party’s principles, and people who just haven’t examined the man and his reliable conservative principles for more than 10 minutes.
Did you really expect the Soviets or any other Marxists around the world to like Ronald Reagan? Then why would you expect any of the Marxists in this country to like Ted Cruz?
And the only “electability” problem he has is with conservatives who are too afraid to go big for the best candidate on the field, and have allowed themselves to get caught up in paying heed to people who hate conservative values.
When you stop to examine the evidence, it’s pretty obvious that Ted Cruz is only truly unlikable and unwinnable to people who loathe the founding principles that made the United States the greatest nation in history.
Are you going to listen to them?
