As most Americans celebrate Thanksgiving today, stop a moment to consider who the Pilgrims were-that group of people we typically look back to as the originators of today’s Thanksgiving celebration.

Any one of us at any moment could find ourselves facing death, and when that time comes we can only hope to confront the unknown with the peace that comes from the knowledge that we lived our life rightly.

The Pilgrims told us specifically why they decided to come to America in the Mayflower Compact – the first American government document: “…for the glory of God and advancement of the Christian faith…”

We’re in a world today increasingly defined by chaos. At home it’s on our college campuses. Abroad it’s spreading across the Middle East and spilling over into Europe. Who do we have to thank for it all? Liberals and moral relativists in power in our country and Europe.

Many Americans generously give to charity. Giving appreciated stock through a donor advised fund has several benefits over other methods of giving.

It’s quite rare to be part of a story on which I report, but this time I’m at Ground Zero. My church in Gulfport, Mississippi, Cowan Road Baptist Church, is the center of a growing story. In the wake of the horrific slaughter of at least 130 people in Paris by Muslim demoniacs, our Pastor, Chris Ashley, put a message on our church sign: “Jesus is God; Allah is Satan”

Just four states and the District of Columbia have banned “conversion therapy” or other Sexual Orientation Change Effort (SOCE) therapies. Yet, the national conversation is turning to stripping sexual minority youth of their rights to therapy—even voluntary therapy—for unwanted same-sex attractions and gender identity confusion.

Everyone knew that it was just a matter of time, but no one expected it to fail this fast. Yet, that is exactly what is happening, as bad news story after bad news story about the state of ObamaCare arrives on a seemingly weekly basis.

If there is to be a renaissance of American manufacturing, Congress must act to run out the clock on this administration, and enable the next president to repair the damage done in its wake.
