Willow Creek Wind Town Hall Meeting
There will be a town hall meeting on Saturday, October 3 in Newell, South Dakota concerning the Willow Creek Wind Project.
The meeting will be from noon to 3:00 pm at 108 3rd Street, and will feature a movie, guest speakers and a Q&A session.
Featured speakers are Winnie Peterson, President and Chair of the Board of Directors of WE-CARESD, Matt Rankin, President of Prairie Wind and Solar, and Bernard Zuroff, attorney.
Topics to be discussed include:
- wind turbine technology
- wind turbine output
- economics (cost, subsidies, taxes, property values, jobs)
- size
- wildlife issues
- noise
- CO2 reduction
