Hillary Clinton’s Trustworthiness: Women Under-Fire

I read a headline from HuffingtonPost.com and immediately shook my head.  It was unbelievable.  It is so unbelievable that I can’t believe someone said it and attached his name to it.  It is an insult to the intelligence of those who appreciate honesty and pay attention to what is going on in the world.

It’s a piece about her.  It’s called, “Hillary Clinton: Brilliant, Passionate and Trustworthy.”  Yes, that is what it is called.  Honest.  This is not satire.

Hillary Clinton being called trustworthy brings forth many images, but not the ones I’m sure the author intended.

Hillary, the candidate, told us that she was under sniper fire and had to duck and run while arriving in Bosnia.  Don’t take my word for it.  Let her tell you herself …

Misspoke?  Isn’t that new speak for lied… it wasn’t the truth… she got caught?

I’ve often said that I believe politicians should be held accountable and that lies told during a campaign should immediately eliminate the person as a candidate.  And, if those lies are discovered after the election, I feel the politician perp should be immediately removed from office.  No one should win an election based on lies.  It should be that simple.

Back to Hillary in particular.

The scandals of the Clintons shouldn’t be readily swept under the carpet and considered non-issues because the accused Clinton(s) suggest it is a misspeak or “old news.”  Old news or not — it is important to know if there is truth in the allegations.  It is important to know the people we elect to office and the level of integrity they bring with them to the position they will hold.  It is also important to know what level of integrity they will demand of all those they appoint.  This isn’t a game, though some in power and in the media seem to think it is.

Brilliant?  I don’t see Hillary as brilliant, though I must admit that it is amazing that after everything that has happened — she is the potential Democratic candidate of president once again.  (Every man and woman can form their own opinion of how she has skirted accountability thus far.)

Passionate?  Well, from what I have heard and read, one doesn’t really want to be on Hillary’s bad side.  Regardless of the latter, being passionate about some good causes, doesn’t erase all things not right.  There are people who do wondrous things to hide the true person they are.  Child molesters, for example, are often the least person expected.  Often, they are the pillar of society.  So, do we ignore the child molesting because of all the wondrous things done?  No, nor should we simply ignore the wrongs of politicians because once upon a time, they did something good.

People make mistakes.  People can change.  However, we can’t be blinded by the glitter of the public relations genius that paints a picture not true.  We need to weigh facts and demand answers — truthful answers.  This takes us back to trustworthy.

Hillary Clinton apparently defends Planned Parenthood in one of her ads.  Does she do this because Planned Parenthood is right or because she thinks that this defense will gain her votes?  Regardless of her thoughts, she made accusations not true.  It isn’t Republican men trying to take health care away from women.  It is a matter of trying to hold Planned Parenthood accountable.  And there’s more.

In Hillary’s ad, she apparently forgets to tell the public that it is Senator Joni Ernst — a woman — that led the charge against Planned Parenthood’s actions.  A very important fact left out.  A fact that paints a different story.

Planned Parenthood is not a necessity, nor the important organization the public relation campaigns and some politicians would have us think they are.  Don’t we have ObamaCare supposedly insuring and proving for all the health care needs of the PP clientele?  Why then would they need to go to PP?  They could go to any doctor or clinic or hospital that provides the services that PP supposedly provides.

Why the special funding to Planned Parenthood?  It’s a question that should be asked by all.

Hillary Clinton “misspoke” on Bosnia.  She is also “misspeaking” on the Planned Parenthood issue and trying to make women think they are under-fire (especially from Republican men), when they are not.

Maybe women should duck and run.  Maybe they should duck and run from those who claim to be trustworthy, but  are actually making false allegations for self-serving purposes.

Time to wake up!

Time to pay attention!
