Of Democrats and Socialists: Who Can Tell the Difference?

The Democrat Party has so completely embraced socialism that even the head of the Democrat Party can’t tell the difference.

Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was recently asked by Chris Matthews, “What is the difference between a Democrat and a socialist?”

She couldn’t answer.

Do you know why she couldn’t answer? Because they are one and the same. As she pointed out, admitted socialist Bernie Sanders has caused with Democrats, and he “is a good Democrat.”

Chuck Todd on Meet the Press gave her another chance to explain the difference yesterday, and she still couldn’t.

Do you know why? There really is no difference between Democrats and socialists. Both loathe economic freedom and the free market. Both loathe personal freedom (unless it’s the freedom to behave in a perverted or criminal manner). Both loathe America. Both worship government. Both believe government should run every aspect of our lives.

It’s interesting to look at a side-by-side comparison of the two Democrats running for president, Hillary Clinton and socialist Bernie Sanders. Both strongly favor a woman’s “right” to murder her unborn child, both want to expand on the unconstitutional ObamaCare boondoggle, both oppose school choice, both are radical environmentalist, both strongly favor counterfeit marriage, both strongly oppose acknowledging America’s Christian heritage and the right of Americans to worship God openly in the public square, both favor more unconstitutional EPA regulation of the free market and private individuals, both strongly oppose allowing Americans to do what they want with their own money, both want amnesty for illegal aliens, both want to unfairly tax some Americans more than others, both oppose a strong American defense, and neither believes America is an exceptional country based on exceptional principles.

There’s hardly any difference at all between Democrat Hillary Clinton and avowed socialist Bernie Sanders. That’s because long ago, the Democrat Party went full-on in embracing Marxism and rejecting the American way of freedom, the free market and limited government. This has been obvious for 40 years or more.

The truly sad part about the embrace of Leftist socialism by many Americans is that these days, it’s becoming harder and harder to tell the functional difference between socialist Democrats and the Republican Party establishment leadership.

Which leaves the American people in a hen house run by foxes.
