The Message: Hope for Conservatives in America’s Last Days

AmerikaIn these days of ever growing government, with the effects and consequences of it on our culture and society, there is a great burden on the hearts of the conservative individual. All we can do today is hope that the conservative leadership and policies will be found again in our country and society, but that will never happen for we are too far gone as a nation to be salvaged. Our country – since the sixties – has rejected moral and social conservatism which has sent us on a fatal course that we as a nation will never recover. There is near zero  conservative leadership in most of Washington and as we saw this week.  The few who do stand up are destroyed and slandered by the Mainstream Leftist Media and abandoned by the Moderate/liberal controlled Republican Party.

With the near total abandonment of moral laws and absolutes the societal effects on our nation are felt every where with no relief or end in site. In light of our hour, where are conservatives to turn or to do? Conservatism is indeed at the Alamo in this nation and all the good intentions and vain dreams of recovering this nation to its founding are a gullible dream. Do we stop fighting…? Of course not, but to think this nation is still a Republic where the rule of Law (God’s moral and natural laws) reign is to be deceived and used for the god of this world’s final 666 agenda (2 Thess. 2:3-12, Rev. 13). I see only more division, more strife and more hate in our coming days against any who seek to stand for our Founding Father’s vision for our nation. As this nation continues to march more steadily and steps it up to the double quick to rally around godless secularism, the godless social gospel of the Left and moderates void of Divine TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS, godless euphemisms, lawless good intentions, its leaders and the WRATH of ALMIGHTY GOD expect our nation’s climate only to continue to abound in the hate of those who want TRUTH and REALITY as they manifest their hatred against Almighty God’s Person, Word, Ways and REALITY. Remember what David stated and does it not apply to us today.

“For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. The foundations shall be destroyed. What has the righteous done?” Psalm 11:2-3

Hear me my dear friend, I plead with you with all my being, I would like for you – in ALL REALITY and TRUTH – to direct your attention away from the EXPONENTIAL political and social problems that engulf our nation and world and REDIRECT your focus and attention to Almighty God our ETERNAL CREATOR and His INFALLIBLE RIGHTEOUS Word for your soul and hour!

Look to and Seek The Lord!

“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else” (Isaiah 45:22).

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. 29:14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD”(Jeremiah 29:13).

“Have faith in Almighty God and His Word! Have Faith in God” (Mark 11:22).

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

Put your hope and expectations in Almighty God and His solutions for you here in time and for ETERNITY!

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones”(Proverbs 3:5-8).

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”(Romans 8:28).

My friend, the question needs to be asked; Do you know The Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior as taught in the Holy Scriptures?” Our moral virtues and conservative ideologies are not good enough for ETERNITY. We must not trust in our own human goodness, but only in the ABSOLUTE RIGHTEOUSNESS (perfection) that is found in Jesus Christ to enter into God’s perfect (holy) Heaven.

The Bible states; “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth” (Romans 10:2-4).

Do you have Almighty God’s RIGHTEOUSNESS that is only found in The Lord Jesus Christ? This is the dire question at hand for you, not what are we to do now in Washington.

In these very difficult days may you redirect your hope and expectations from Washington D.C. into the very throne room of Almighty God’s perfect heaven. Almighty God and His Word will never change and that is the anchor of the soul for any – who by faith – place their full trust in Him. His promises (past, present, future) are sure, steadfast and true. My you place your trust in Him today – saved or unsaved for in doing so you will never be the same.

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

I’m experiencing the paradox of being both horrified at the militant, unprecedented evil washing over society and the certain soon expectation of God’s final vindication through righteous judgement in the culmination of the Age - how glorious a prospect!

We can say with Jesus that for the joy set before us we can endure the temporal shame.

      Unprecedented evil? Like what?

It wasn’t the enslavement and barbaric treatment of other humans by our nation’s ancestors that sufficiently angered Him. It wasn’t even the torture and slaughter of six million of His Chosen people that will move Him to action. No, it’s allowing two men to participate in a legal partnership that will finally bring on the final judgment, yes?

Religious ideologues are most frequently eschatologists. They want this world to pass away, and for everyone in it to be turned to ash, well except for them, of course. They will simply stand back and watch the bloodbath that is to come, I assume with a box of popcorn.

You don’t consider the deaths of more than half a million Americans to end the evil of slavery in the United States to be sufficient judgement? Abraham Lincoln disagreed with you in his second inaugural address (as carved into the walls of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.):

If we shall suppose that American slavery is one of those offenses which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South this terrible war as the woe due to those by whom the offense came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope, fervently do we pray, that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue until all the wealth piled by the bondsman’s two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.”

You don’t consider some 7 million dead Germans (the estimated war dead in World War II) as well as the devastation of German cities to be “action” in judgement for Nazi German’s crimes? God also used world horror at that tragedy to motivate the international community to finally restore Israel to the land God gave the Jewish nation some 4,000 years earlier-a land they had been run off from for nearly 2,000 years. I must say: you’re a little difficult to impress.

And let us not forget what God did to some cities known for their sexual perversion (so much so that homosexual behavior is still known as “Sodom-y” approx. 4,000 years later), as well as the great fall of the Roman Empire which also came to embrace this perversion.

Interestingly, while it isn’t part of the inspired Scriptures, Jewish religious tradition going back thousands of years teaches that there was only one time in all of human history when a civilization became so insane that it embraced homosexual behavior to the point that it allowed it to be called “marriage”…and that was shortly before God destroyed the entire world with a global flood. Even more interestingly, Jesus said the last round of judgment on the earth would be close “as it was in the days of Noah”:

Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.

If you created something (say you’re a carpenter and you create a chair, or a metal craftsman and you create some metal tool to do something) and that creation won’t do that which you created it to do. What do you think you would do with that creation? Most likely you would destroy it because it did not serve the purpose for which it was intended.

Now how much more might your anger at this useless tool be if it didn’t fulfill the purpose for which it was created not out of inability or insufficiency, but rather out of rebellion, out of willful refusal to fulfill its creator’s intent?

That is what we’re dealing with when human beings, created to express themselves sexually as husband and wife within marriage, not only refuse to do that, but deliberately do that which the Creator repeatedly told us is diametrically opposite from his purpose.

“Religious ideologues” love their Creator, and as much as is possible in this fallen world, share in their Creator’s appreciation of what is right and true. Because of that, they join their Creator in lamenting the fallen, rebellious nature of humanity, and long to see the day when all the evil and suffering we’ve seen throughout history will FINALLY be over, and all that will remain will be good, and those who love and respect their creator.

There is a certain joy at seeing justice done (just as we rejoice in a movie when the bad guys are brought to justice), but God’s followers want to see as few people as possible have to face that justice. That’s why Christ gave us the “Great Commission” to tell everyone about his truth and how to escape judgement.

That’s why this website exists, and that’s why the writers and commenters here spend the time they do-to save all from the fire that will allow themselves to be saved.

Excellent response, Bob. It’s an article in itself.

“You don’t consider the deaths of more than half a million Americans to end the evil of slavery in the United States to be sufficient judgement? ”

I don’t consider natural disasters or military endeavors to be an act of divine judgment. You’d have to assume that everyone who dies “had it coming”.

Such an assumption is not even Biblical. After all, God said He’d spare Sodom if there was a single innocent person.

I’d like to think that God is not arbitrary (or sloppy) in executing judgment. If He’s going to punish a person or group of people, He can do so without taking out a fifty mile radius.

          • http://www.americanclarion.com/ Bob Ellis

It can often be difficult to determine whether a bad outcome is a direct “judgment” from God, or merely the natural consequences (i.e. the law of cause and effect) of doing something ill-advised. Either way, whether it’s something God had to go out of his way, so to speak, to bring about, or something that happened simply because God built the universe so that pain would result from bad decisions, it’s a form of judgment.

And sadly, in this imperfect and in-rebellion world, the guilty often drag down the innocent into suffering along with them. A parent who had a drug/alcohol/gambling problem is going to cause problems and suffering for their children. A bad leader of a country is going to cause problems for the people of that country-which makes it an all-the-more sobering duty of a citizen in a free country to be on guard and do everything they can to push for moral policy decisions in their government.

And God didn’t exactly say what you imply. When Abraham pleaded with God on behalf of Sodom, God said “If I find at Sodom fifty righteous in the city, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” And all the way down to 10 people. We know that in the end, there weren’t even that many left in Sodom, and the few that were left the city, paving the way for judgment to be poured out on it in full.

The Bible says rain falls on the just and unjust, meaning that sometimes bad people get better than they deserve, and sometimes good people get worse than they deserve. That’s only to be expected in a world where justice is held in contempt, and people put their own welfare ahead of others, even those under their sphere of protection and control. Children face adverse consequences when their parents commit crimes (a good justice system doesn’t give the parents a pass from judgment simply because they have children, and so the children endure the financial hardship of having parent(s) who incur legal costs and incarceration), and in bringing this on their children, parents bring even more eternal judgment on themselves for having brought more suffering on those who depend on them. It isn’t God’s fault the parent did wrong and brought consequences on themselves, just as it isn’t the fault of the cops or judges or juries who are tasked to bring judgement on the wrongdoer. God does what is practical, just as a civilized society does, to mitigate the harm done to the innocent because of the actions of the guilty without thwarting justice, but only so much can be done to protect the innocent while balancing free will, justice, and shielding the innocent.

All this could have been avoided if Adam and Eve had only believed what God told them. Instead, they thought themselves smarter than their Creator…and we continue to commit the same arrogant rebellion today.
