The conservatives get the American people talking about the wrong issues, then, they get the same results. All the while, the American people are trying to figure out why they are confused. This process is insanity: Doing the same things and getting the same results – while expecting different results.

The briefs show the sweeping support for marriage, the breadth of concern about the possible wide-ranging effects of striking down voter-approved marriage laws, and the problems with judicially imposing an end to the ongoing public debate on marriage.

Our pastors are worthless, at least in regard to fighting the cultural war. For some odd reason they fail to realize that the command to be “salt and light” has to do with impacting the culture. Hiding the light inside the church building, keeping the salt inside the shaker, does not advance the Kingdom of God.

What we are witnessing in our land is the result of rejecting a Biblical worldview as regards every area of life and thought, and while we may properly lay a large responsibility at the feet of actively anti-Christian leaders in our country, there is a significant element that is the fault of Christians; Christians failing to develop a Christian world view in their own lives and in those whom they disciple.

Popular understanding of the Constitution has degraded into a twisted mutant of what it was designed to be. Our elected officials take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution, but time has proven that to be meaningless lip service. They really don’t represent us at all. They do whatever they want.

This year April 15th marked Holocaust Remembrance Day which should remind us of the horrors perpetrated by Nazi Germany and its European allies against the stateless and hapless Jews a mere 70 years ago. It is no accident to reflect upon the name of the largest Jewish cemetery in the world: It is called: Europe.
