Indiana: War on Christian Values Out in the Open

Indiana is now the crossroads of the war against morality, freedom and Christian values in the public square.  As Indiana passes a bill to protect religious freedom in the face of multiple attacks on it across our nation–like the U.S. Congress and a Democrat President did some 20 years ago, and many states have done since then–homosexual activists are coming out of the woodwork to demonize religious liberty.

Ironically, for Leftists to be consistent (not that consistency has EVER been a problem for the Left), the Left apparently believes a Jewish or Muslim butcher or grocer should be forced to provide pork upon demand, or a Jewish baker should be forced to bake a Hitler or Nazi cake, or that a black-owned business should have to provide goods and/or services for a KKK rally, or that homosexual bakers should be forced to provide cakes affirming real marriage and condemning counterfeit marriage. Don’t hold your breath.

It’s an extremely sad day when we have to erect additional bulwarks to defend the First Amendment protection for the exercise of religious liberty–itself a bulwark built to defend freedom. But that’s what we’ve come to in a day and age where one major political party has declared war on morality and God…and the other major political party has decided to wave the white flag of surrender rather than fight to preserve our 200 year old legacy of liberty.

Homosexual activists and their “useful idiot” friends are growing bolder and more vociferous in their war on morality and normality, chiefly because so many “Republicans” have made it clear to the Left that not only will they not do anything to fight back against the Left, they will actually join the Left in their attacks on anyone who stands for what is right.  Liberal frauds like South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard and his fellow RINOs will actually join the out-of-the-closet Left in throwing good people under the bus.  Sadder still, some pro-family groups support frauds like Daugaard.

So those whose values are anathema to the Christian values that created and forged the greatest nation in history, they get to rest comfortable and secure in the knowledge that even their so-called “political enemies” on the Right will back them up in their fight…while committed Christians who want to live according to the dictates of conscience and preserve this last best hope of earth, well, they’re on their own.

Unlike the craven, corrupt excuses we have for “leadership” today (people like Mike Pence excepted), the founders of this great nation understood the sacred nature of conscience:

Government is instituted to protect property of every sort. . . . [and] conscience is the most sacred of all property. – James Madison

No provision in our Constitution ought to be dearer to man than that which protects the rights of conscience. – Thomas Jefferson

Consciences of men are not the objects of human legislation. – New Jersey Governor William Livingston, signer of the U.S. Constitution

Security under our constitution is given to the rights of conscience. – John Jay, First Chief of U.S. Supreme Court, author of the Federalist Papers

Our rulers can have no authority over such natural rights, only as we have submitted to them. The rights of conscience we never submitted, we could not submit. We are answerable for them to our God. – Thomas Jefferson

It is sufficiently obvious, that persons and property are the two great subjects on which Governments are to act; and that the rights of persons, and the rights of property, are the objects, for the protection of which Government was instituted. These rights cannot well be separated. – James Madison

Government is instituted to protect property of every sort…[and] conscience is the most sacred of all property. – James Madison

The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence. If `Thou shalt not covet’ and `Thou shalt not steal’ were not commandments of Heaven, they must be made inviolable precepts in every society before it can be civilized or made free. – John Adams

The time is upon us RIGHT NOW.  It is time for all good people to get in the fight RIGHT NOW…or the war on our Christian heritage and religious freedom will completely destroy  your liberty and everything that has been known as America.  Good people, unless you find your voice and start fighting back RIGHT NOW, very soon you won’t even have the freedom to do what is right for yourself, much less expect your government and culture to do what is right.

Will you get in the fight?  Or will you continue to be silent?  Choose this day.
