Firearms Rates and Murder Rates

By now, you’re very familiar with the Left’s oh-so-predictable attempt to use every shooting by an amoral wacko (who often had his gun illegally) to promote taking guns away from the vast majority of law-abiding gun owners.

Bill Whittle decided to take a fresh look at some of the pap the Leftists smear around.

He found that, yes indeed, America leads the way in gun ownership. Well, since hammers and fists (yes, these hammers and fists jump up of their own accord and kill people) are responsible for more deaths in the United States than guns, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

According to Leftist “logic,” when we check the murder rate, we should find the United States right up there at Number One, right?

Well, not really. That spot belongs to Marxist gun-controlled Honduras.

Out of the 218 nations listed, #1 gun ownership United States came in at a whopping #111.  In case you weren’t paying attention, that places us statistically (and logically) a loooooooooong way from the #1 murder rate we are supposed to have because of our high gun ownership. Gee, maybe those mean ole guns aren’t jumping out of pockets and holsters on their own and killing people like we were (mis)led to believe.

Like a lot of the other BS the Left tries to sell us.

Incidentally, here within the United States, where are the highest murder rates?  Usually where the tightest gun control is, in places like Washington D.C., Detroit, Chicago and so on.  Um, not in places like the Plano, Texas where even the kids, dogs and guinea pigs have guns, which has the lowest murder rate in the country.

So (are you listening, “Republicans”?), let’s stop allowing ourselves to be intimidated by these anti-American lying scumbags, eh?
