Thanks be to God that those of us who are in Christ have everything for which to be grateful. We who are sealed for God through Christ Jesus can cling to the peace that passes all understanding and choose to remain calm through the evil storms that are here and those to come. It is a constant battle to not allow ourselves to be swept down in despair when we regard the constant bombardment of bad news, the chaos in our streets and government, but the Lord does give us His peace if we will let Him.

Even after approximately 50 years of a relentless, all-out, propaganda-filled and often government-backed campaign to demonize America’s Christian foundation and mislead people about the Christian origins of our country, more than three-quarters of Americans still self-identify as Christians.

Winston Churchill said, “He who fails to plan is planning to fail.” Those who seem to be the most successful think through possible obstacles and devise a contingency plan. In the days leading up to the New Year, consider taking out your 2015 calendar and glancing over the year.

A week ago yesterday, in an event that not one paper reported, not one TV or other media outlet described, more than one thousand citizens converged on the capital of the State of Washington at Olympia. They all came armed, weapons fully loaded, shotguns, rifles, revolvers, semi autos. It was a peaceful demonstration and not a shot was fired.

Six years ago, candidate Barack Obama promised that if elected he would fundamentally transform America. Entering his seventh year in office, he has declared the foundation of America to be destroyed, replaced with a new one laid during his Administration. It’s time for Congress to stop him or forever hold their peace.

Political parties are not designed to be moral, they are designed to provide a common affiliation for competing points of view related to the division of government power. This does not mean that they don’t take stands on moral issues like abortion, gun control, taxes and redistribution of wealth, it merely means that, as entities, they are amoral.

Foreign, dictatorial governments are bossing around private entities, using either the threat of force or other forms of sanction to suppress what would otherwise be simply the free expression of political speech in today’s digital era. This is why the Obama administration’s plan to turn over Internet governance to a private non-profit, the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), in 2015 is an exceedingly bad idea.

God gave you and I an amazing gift called rights - rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness - and he set Government to protect those rights. Government is supposed to be filled with individuals, who like our veterans, are to sacrifice their “lives, fortunes, and sacred honor” to preserve our rights.

Sadly, our government and many of our fellow Americans are enabling the UN Security Council and various anti-Israel factions throughout the world to reduce our support and shape our future course.
