In the liberal mind, the progressive agenda is good for Americans but Americans are just too dense to see it as clearly as liberals do. Liberals are therefore reluctant to let the rest of us make our own decisions. This reluctance leads them to lie to us for our own good. Is any of this a surprise to you?

Obamacare was built and sold on a series of lies. To quote an insurance company commercial, everyone knows that. We’ve known it since then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi uttered her famous line, “We have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it.” Now Jonathan Gruber’s admissions made in what must have been a self-congratulatory tour of elitist institutions destroy any legitimacy the law once had.

I can appreciate that the pro-choice camp is tired of playing defense and might be refreshed to see someone rising from the ranks to offer positive affirmation. However, simply refusing to acknowledge the wrongness of an act doesn’t negate its wrongness. A thief can stand up and announce to the world that he’s a thief and not sorry about it, but at the end of the day, theft is still wrong and everyone knows it. Lying, cheating, stealing, murder… these basic offenses against nature and against one’s neighbor have been prohibited in virtually all cultures at all times throughout human history.

After four years of denying the law covers abortion-on-demand, the General Accounting Office (GAO) finally blew the lid off the ObamaCare lie and confirmed what groups like FRC have said all along: that Americans are footing the bill for the largest expansion of taxpayer-funded abortion in history. And making matters worse, the entire administration refuses to admit it. Remember “we have to pass ObamaCare to find out what’s in it?” Well, now, “you have to buy it to find out what’s in it.”

It didn’t take long for South Dakota U.S. Senator-elect Mike Rounds to move from merely cheering for the Surrender Caucus of gutless “Republicans” in Washington D.C. to officially joining their ranks.

Time for an air freshener – truth! America and Americans benefit when law is upheld, when compassion and opportunity join hands to help those who need a temporary hand up, not those who want a permanent hand out. Martin Luther King, in his famous I Have a Dream speech, said he dreamed of the day when a man would not be judged by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character. Right on, Brother. America is about equal opportunity under law – not privilege based on skin color or ethnicity.

If the system is so rigged that we can’t take our nation back through traditional means, maybe we need to reject all civil and state institutions (mired in warped, self-serving ideology) all together. We’ve been bit by the hand that feeds us!
