We’ve all heard the protests: “Separation of church and State! You can’t post the 10 Commandments in a courthouse! You can’t have Jesus in a Christmas play in a public school! That would violate the First Amendment!” Really? Have any of the people making such proclamations read the First Amendment, or what any of the founders said in regard to the relationship between the church and the state? Time for a dose of truth by way of a brief history lesson.

The latest polls indicate that 70% of Americans believe that our country is headed in the wrong direction. Those that claim to understand the polls would have us believe there will be a major change of political party control as a result. But that doesn’t mean a major change in the direction of the country. If recent history is any indicator, the political party in control does not accurately reflect the true desires of the people. A change in political party control similarly will have little to do with changing the country’s direction.

How many American voters sense a growing decay with regards to the strictness of our loyalties, integrity and even common sense? I’m aware of the system named “gradualism;” however, at some point, shouldn’t there come a time for admitting that the movement of the clock’s hand is in the wrong direction? Our American journey has been gradually beset by a slew of irrelevancies. It’s time to consider some of these anti-American add ons.

Tomorrow, South Dakotans will go to the polls. Among the races and issues to be decided is one called Initiated Measure 17 which deals with the issue of in-network and out-of-network health care providers. It is being billed by supporters as a “patient choice” measure, and I suppose that is true. But like so many pieces of legislation that get government involved in the free market, it actually diminishes choice and freedom.

Leading up to this up coming election we have seen how low the lawlessness Democratic Party and their media will go to hold their power and government tyranny over Americans and their blind followers. It is to be noted that the Democratic Left and their media have moved their party and this nation so far to the left that they are now more then ever fully given over to godlessness, critical theory, social lawlessness, secularism and moral relativism.
