Throughout most of the 19th and 20th centuries, socialism had a fairly precise definition, a somewhat clear program, and a generally agreed upon goal. The definition of socialism was some variant of Karl Marx’s well known statement, “From each according to the ability, to each according to their need.” Socialism’s program was the nationalization of all means of production, exchange, and distribution.

It has come to light that, under the Obama administration, the U.S. government has been subsidizing, to the tune of billions, another sect of militant extremists who, likewise, are, with an equally religious zeal, torturing, dismembering and beheading children en masse. The only material difference is that, according to officials within the U.S. government, and as per formal U.S. policy, this second batch of terrorist monsters are somehow considered to be “freedom fighters.”

This is my letter to the editor, printed in the Rapid City Journal today, defending South Dakota Senator Phil Jensen against the extremism of a so-called “Republican” who obviously is a better fit in the Godless Democrat Party.

With this midterm, wouldn’t it seem as a given that the GOP hierarchy would be salivating for its next go around? Especially so since it was an election for the taking in 2012. Now added to the mix is Obama’s unauthorized policies which have cause untold harm to our country. What more incentive does the GOP require?

I received a nice big color slick mailer today from Many True Conservatives which points out the differences between conservative independent U.S. Senate Candidate Gordon Howie and RINO “Republican” Candidate Mike Rounds. Though some Republicans would rather Howie wasn’t in this race (to embarrass RINO Rounds), the differences are real, and they are big.

South Dakota Gun Owners and the National Association for Gun Rights takes a lot of flack from liberal “Republicans” for hitting RINOs over the head with their own weak records on Second Amendment rights. Unlike the National Rifle Association (NRA) which usually endorses whoever is the incumbent or favored candidate in a race, even if they’re a liberal Democrat, SDGO and NAGR don’t suck up to the halls of power.

Prospects that three term Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu will return to the US Senate to represent Louisiana for a fourth term are looking increasingly bleak. Senator Landrieu has good reason to be concerned. One reason is disenchantment among Louisiana’s black population, which amounts to 32 percent of the population of the state – the nation’s second largest black population percentage-wise.

Picture this: You’re going to be meeting with George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin. They wants to know what has happened to America. What will you say?

It seems Leon H. Wolf at RedState is about as enthused at the prospects of a “Republican” victory in November as I am. Republicans: would you like to actually accomplish something next year? Would you like to be able to overcome Barack Obama’s propaganda? You can, if you are willing to fight.
