As is too often the case these days, if you want to learn anything about what is really going on in the United States, you have to look to sources other than the “mainstream” media in America. In addition to having to look to “new media” source, sometimes it takes a look outside the United States altogether.

The British Daily Mail cuts through the Barbra Streisand (BS) being offered by the Obama Administration and parroted by the “mainstream” media to report that, yes, illegal aliens are indeed coming to this country because they believe if they can just get here, they’ll be allowed by our feckless leaders to stay here.

The surge of thousands of unaccompanied children illegally crossing the border from Mexico is being fueled by misperceptions about U.S. immigration policy rather than growing violence in Central American, according to a leaked report.

The report was compiled by the El Paso Intelligence Center (EPIC) last week. The organization focuses on the collection and distribution of tactical intelligence concerning the southwest border and is run jointly by the Drug Enforcement Administration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

‘Of the 230 migrants interviewed, 219 cited the primary reason for migrating to the United States was the perception of U.S. immigration laws granting free passes or permisos to UAC (unaccompanied children) and adult females OTMs (other than Mexicans) traveling with minors,’ said the report, which was leaked to Breitbart Texas.

And why in the world would foreigners who are prospective illegal aliens believe such a thing? I’m sure our president’s deliberate refusal to enforce our nation’s border and immigration laws for the past six years has nothing to do with it, nor does his and liberal “Republicans'” stated intent to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

Let’s be clear on that: it isn’t “misperceptions” about U.S. immigration policy, but rather very insightful perceptions about U.S. immigration policy given to them by our feckless leaders in the Democrat and “Republican” Parties.

The graph in this Daily Mail article is also very telling, showing the number of unaccompanied illegal alien children apprehensions growing from about 8,000 in 2008 to more than double to 19,668 the year the Lawless-in-Chief took office. Since then, it climbed to 24,481 by the end of President Obama’s first term, and doubled again in the last two years to 57,633.  The chart estimates 90,000 by the end of this year, and almost doubling again next year.

Meanwhile, even as our president and some tone-deaf “Republicans” try to reward lawbreakers,  a separate article at the Daily Mail reports more Americans than ever are seeing this as a very serious problem for our country:

Woodrow Wilcox

The number of Americans who see illegal immigration as the nation’s most pressing problem has spiked from 3 per cent to 17 per cent since May, according to a Gallup poll released Wednesday.

That percentage now tops government corruption, the U.S. economy, jobs, health care and every other hot-button issue, driven by a flood of tens of thousands of illegal immigrant children pouring across the U.S.-Mexico border.

Republican establishment: even if you can’t pull your head out because it’s the right thing to do, can’t you at least pull your head out because it should be abundantly clear now that, while you may be drinking the Koolaid, the American people aren’t buying the BS being sold to them on the Left. The American people are seeing with rare clarity that we cannot survive as a nation in the absence of (a) borders, (b) sane immigration policy, (c) ordered assimilation of immigrants, (d) law and order, and (e) government officials who will uphold their oath to uphold our nation’s laws.

We don’t need immigration “reform” (for those who don’t know, “reform” mentioned with anything in the federal government meansto make more liberal; to socialize; to change a thing in the opposite direction from common sense“).  We need our existing laws enforced, and our existing border secured. We have both the money and the legal infrastructure to do both. The only thing we lack is the will to do so.

We must toss out all the corrupt politicians–Democrat and Republican–who seek to reward lawlessness and who refuse to put the rule of law first.
