If we are seeking government to do our bidding, government is our god. If we want to show mercy, we personally should do so and not pressure the government to do it for us. If we want a borderless nation, we should petition the government for it to be so. But I’d be careful to believe we are doing so in God’s name.

Huff, USN (RET) is scheduled to present on his experiences while leading a naval intelligence team during Desert Shield/Desert Storm (1st Gulf War, 1990-1991). Sponsored by the Black Hills Veterans Writing Group, the event will take place at Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City.
