Just the other day I was scanning the Internet to see what was going on in our world, and lo and behold a man named Larry Brinkin popped up before my eyes. For those that do not know his name, Larry Brinkin is a “gay rights” icon.

Who can argue that Duck Dynasty stands apart in the entertainment field? And why? Because it represents what has been so fervently devalued during this last half of a century. Not one single industry “head” could have expected such a responsive following and for one very obvious reason. All the American bases had been previously covered.

The Republican Party winning coalition has traditionally stood on a three legged stool consisting of God, guns and economic freedom with the economic freedom part of the equation being the glue. Yet it is this professional big business class that seeks through hired guns to declare war on the legitimate economic freedom, God and guns legs of the Republican stool.

It could not be any clearer. Homosexuality is condemned in the scriptures just as murder, adultery, premarital sex, kidnaping, lying, and idolatry are condemned. I was not surprised, in the least, at the suddenness and the ferocity of the attack upon Mr. Robertson. In fact, I was expecting it. We Americans have allowed political correctness to infect our land to the point that we are awash in vileness.

Former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough thinks that what ails the GOP is not nominating leftist candidates like Chris Christie. Black Republican strategist, Raynard Jackson also wrote an article heralding Christie’s landslide win in a Blue State as the rubric for the GOP, while shaming Cuccinelli’s loss in Virginia as a sign that the party should turn away from conservative & Tea Party values that brought the party back from the dead in 2010.

Liberty is not license in a Libertarian sense, governed merely by the will of the heart, because true freedom requires an active conscience which self-governs behavior. In an earlier era, the concept of “Let your conscience be your guide” comes to mind, as my father was fond of saying.
