The Liberal press wants to advance the idea that the Tea Party is trouble for the GOP because their policy positions are “radical” and out of touch with “mainstream Conservatives.” This simply is not true. I would challenge any critic to name one distinct policy position advocated by the Tea Party that is radically different than the platform embraced by a majority of Americans who identify with the Republican Party or movement conservatism.

Decades-old desegregation orders on Louisiana school districts, the center of a federal government case against Louisiana’s school choice program, are now emerging as a major distraction for the Department of Justice bringing the case. The Justice Department is arguing that allowing students to leave public schools for private schools will somehow undermine desegregation of schools in Louisiana.

You may have heard by now that the GOP members of the ruling class (otherwise known as RINOs) are tired of being embarrassed by Tea Party patriots, and are gearing up to strike out at the Tea Party movement. But the Tea Party movement isn’t taking their declaration of war sitting down. They are mobilizing on multiple fronts not just to repel these attacks from liberal “Republicans,” but to take back the GOP from those who are more interested in helping the Democrats than in advancing Republican values.

For years now, I have been writing about the kingdom of God—in theory—trying to challenge, teach, and encourage Christians to recover and live out this essential dimension of the gospel. By God’s grace, I believe the church is beginning to awaken and more and more Christians are beginning to understand that the “gospel” is less about going to heaven and more about the redemptive rule and reign of God coming to earth.

Just like the flesh-eating zombies in Romero’s classic 1968 horror picture Night of the Living Dead, the sinister “Employment Non-Discrimination Act” (ENDA) won’t stay in the grave. A vote in the Senate is now imminent.
